As<\/span> jacar\u00e9s<\/span><\/i> (alligators) are a native species to the country, Brazilians are no strangers to the reptile. Employing them as <\/span>armas<\/span><\/i> (weapons), however, require a certain level of skill, courage or straight up <\/span>loucura<\/span><\/i> (madness). Whichever one it was, this man from Rio de Janeiro was definitely willing to put up a fight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When dispute broke out, one of the man involved simply grabbed a small-sized alligator and thrust it forward to threaten his opponent. As if that weren\u2019t enough, a dog can also be seen excitedly jumping around the men. Police officers reported to the scene and helped release the animal back into his natural habitat. Who do you think <\/span>ganhou essa briga<\/span><\/i> (won this fight)?<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking of native species, this time os<\/span> animais selvagens<\/span><\/i> (the wildlife) is to blame. The arara-canind\u00e9 (blue-and-yellow macaw) is a hugely popular and stunning-looking <\/span>p\u00e1ssaro<\/span><\/i> (bird) that can be considered a symbol of Brazil. What you wouldn\u2019t expect, however, is that such majestic creature could be caught expertly twisting a valve, consequently leaving thousands without access to<\/span> \u00e1gua <\/span><\/i>(water) at a<\/span> rodovi\u00e1ria<\/span><\/i> (bus station).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Seems like a simple issue, but <\/span>a torneira<\/span><\/i> (the valve) ultimately had to be replaced to avoid any further attempts of tampering. Maybe the macaw was trying to save the planet?<\/span><\/p>\n

As we saw the emergence of new mutations and Covid-19 waves last year, governments were forced to to take action and implement certain <\/span>medidas <\/span><\/i>(measures) to <\/span>evitar o cont\u00e1gio<\/span><\/i> (prevent the spread). And lots of people were deeply <\/span>chateadas<\/span><\/i> (upset) by these restrictions and their consequences.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of them, however, took it too far and decided to attack the headquarters of a <\/span>jornal<\/span><\/i> (newspaper) that had been publishing <\/span>artigos<\/span><\/i> (articles) expressing their <\/span>apoio <\/span><\/i>(support) for the new<\/span> regras<\/span><\/i> (rules). The tragic irony behind this? The author of the crime was no less than <\/span>um bombeiro<\/span><\/i> (a fireman). It sure takes a lot of <\/span>raiva<\/span><\/i> (rage) to turn a fireman into an arson.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uma manifesta\u00e7\u00e3o (a demonstration) in favor of reopening churches amid the pandemic led to a violent backlash, as a disgruntled psychologist tossed a passion fruit <\/span>pela janela<\/span><\/i> (out the window), hitting a 73-year-old woman.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is hard to believe that<\/span> o maracuj\u00e1<\/span><\/i> (the passion fruit), a beloved tropical fruit in Brazil known for its <\/span>efeitos calmantes<\/span><\/i> (soothing properties), could be responsible for the event going sour.<\/span><\/p>\n
