However, given the restrictive measures, it is difficult to count on a typical vacation trip. Travel plans have collapsed for most people. How do Russians rest in post-isolation time?<\/p>\n<p>Many tour operators have started reopening since June as the global health crisis begins to stabilize. However, the pandemic is not over yet; and many people choose not to travel (<em>\u043f\u0443\u0442\u0435\u0448<span lang=\"en-US\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0435\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u0441\u0442\u0432\u043e\u0432\u0430\u0442\u044c<\/em>) abroad (<em>\u0437\u0430 \u0433\u0440\u0430\u043d<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u0438\u0301<\/span>\u0446\u0443<\/em>). From the end of the last month, all tourist (<em>\u0442\u0443\u0440\u0438\u0441\u0442<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u0438\u0301<\/span>\u0447\u0435\u0441\u043a\u0438\u0435<\/em>) destinations (<em>\u043d\u0430\u043f\u0440\u0430\u0432\u043b<span lang=\"en-US\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0435\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u043d\u0438\u044f<\/em>) within the country are open. A negative COVID-19 or antibody test is no longer required. Those who arrive (<em>\u043f\u0440\u0438\u0431\u044b\u0432<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0442\u044c<\/em>) in another city are only measured for their temperature at the airport (<em>\u0430\u044d\u0440\u043e\u043f<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u043e\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u0440\u0442<\/em>) or the train station (<em>\u0436\u0435\u043b\u0435\u0437\u043d\u043e\u0434\u043e\u0440<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u043e\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u0436\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0441\u0442<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u043d\u0446\u0438\u044f<\/em>). There is no driving ban anymore, which means you can organize your own trip. But you shouldn&#8217;t plan your trip (<em>\u043f\u0443\u0442\u0435\u0448<span lang=\"en-US\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0435\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u0441\u0442\u0432\u0438\u0435<\/em>) several weeks in advance as the rules are constantly changing and can get stricter. National parks (<em>\u043d\u0430\u0446\u0438\u043e\u043d<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u043b\u044c\u043d\u044b\u0435 \u043f<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0440\u043a\u0438<\/em>) are also open; only large excursion (<em>\u044d\u043a\u0441\u043a<span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0443\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0440\u0441\u0438\u044f<\/em>) groups are not allowed, but families are not prohibited from hiking (<em>\u043f<span lang=\"en-US\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0435\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u0448\u0438\u0439 \u0442\u0443\u0440<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u0438\u0301<\/span>\u0437\u043c<\/em>). Russians love to go to the forest (<em>\u043b\u0435\u0441<\/em>) for picking mushrooms (<em>\u0441\u043e\u0431\u0438\u0440<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0442\u044c \u0433\u0440\u0438\u0431<span data-contrast=\"none\">\u044b\u0301<\/span><\/em>), hunting, and having picnics.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the mitigation of the measures, the general self-isolation regime has not been ultimately canceled in most regions.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Puerto Backyarda<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12732\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/russian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/07\/Kids_pool.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/russian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/07\/Kids_pool.jpg 800w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/russian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/07\/Kids_pool-350x233.jpg 350w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/russian\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2020\/07\/Kids_pool-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Russian citizens living in cities usually do not have their own backyard (<em>\u0437<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0434\u043d\u0438\u0439 \u0434\u0432\u043e\u0440<\/em>), as they live in apartments. Those who live in villages have large courtyards (<em>\u0434\u0432<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u043e<\/span><\/span>\u0440<\/em>). But more often, rural residents are engaged in the agriculture sector. Summer for them is not a vacation (<em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u043e\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/em><em>\u0442\u043f\u0443\u0441\u043a<\/em>) time. They work hard all season. That&#8217;s why backyard pools are not popular in Russia. Instead, people go swimming (<em>\u043f\u043b<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0432\u0430\u0442\u044c<\/em>) in a river (<em>\u0440\u0435\u043a<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>) or lake (<em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u043e\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/em><em>\u0437\u0435\u0440\u043e<\/em>). Only those who are lucky to live by the sea (<em>\u043c<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u043e\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u0440\u0435<\/em>) have considerably more options for summer water activities (<em>\u0432<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u043e\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u0434\u043d\u044b\u0435 \u0440\u0430\u0437\u0432\u043b\u0435\u0447<span lang=\"en-US\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u0435\u0301<\/span><\/span>\u043d\u0438\u044f<\/em>). It is a seasonal or year-round second home located in exurbs. Dachas are common in Russia. There are so-called &#8220;dacha villages&#8221; (<em>\u0434<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0447\u043d\u044b\u0435 \u043f\u043e\u0441\u0451\u043b\u043a\u0438<\/em>) and &#8220;dacha cooperatives&#8221; (<em>\u0434<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0447\u043d\u044b\u0435 \u043a\u043e\u043e\u043f\u0435\u0440\u0430\u0442<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u0438\u0301<\/span>\u0432\u044b<\/em>) &#8211; a plot of land with inhabited buildings, outbuildings, large gardens (<em>\u0441\u0430\u0434<span data-contrast=\"none\">\u044b\u0301<\/span><\/em>), and forests. Some villages have been fully transformed into dacha settlements. Some dachas have pretty ordinary houses and small (not more than 6,500 sq ft) pieces of land, where dachniki (<em>\u0434<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><span lang=\"ru-RU\">\u0430\u0301<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u0447\u043d\u0438\u043a\u0438<\/em>) <sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote \" data-mfn=\"1\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"0000000000002ec30000000000000000_12723\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_12723-1\">1<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-0000000000002ec30000000000000000_12723-1\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"1\">the dacha owners<\/span> grow large amounts of fruits and vegetables. Others are modern and luxurious. Russian elite has mansions and palaces in its dachas. Depending on the dacha type, different activities are available for citizens. Wealthy Russians have sports facilities such as an indoor pool, tennis courts, and racehorse stables. Since then, they have not stopped their activities. Tourists who choose the services of such firms risk their lives. Illegals don&#8217;t even register their travels in case of an emergency. &#8220;If something happens, the trips can be ruined,&#8221; explains the travel business and guide (<em>\u0433\u0438\u0434<\/em>), Igor.<\/p>\n<p>For most Russians, there\u2019s nothing like a summer getaway.
