At first, these might seem like random words strung together, but in Russia, if they are preceded by \u201c<strong>\u0414\u0435\u0301\u0442\u0441\u043a\u0438\u0439 \u0421\u0430\u0434<\/strong>\u201d (\u201ckindergarten\u201d) these names evoke some of the sweetest, most carefree days of one\u2019s childhood.<\/p>\n<p>And what\u2019s there not to love about kindergarten days?<\/p>\n<p>A typical day of a kindergartener is a busy one but filled with love, care, and nap time. Some kindergartens also include <strong>\u0443\u0301\u0442\u0440\u0435\u043d\u043d\u044f\u044f \u0433\u0438\u043c\u043d\u0430\u0301\u0441\u0442\u0438\u043a\u0430<\/strong> (morning exercises) to help the kids wake up.<\/p>\n<p>8:20 \u2014 8:50 <strong>\u041f\u0435\u0301\u0440\u0432\u044b\u0439 \u0437\u0430\u0301\u0432\u0442\u0440\u0430\u043a<\/strong> (the first breakfast) most often consists of some type of <strong>\u043a\u0430\u0301\u0448\u0430<\/strong> (porridge) and <strong>\u0445\u043b\u0435\u0431 \u0441 \u043c\u0430\u0301\u0441\u043b\u043e\u043c \u0438 \u0441\u044b\u0440\u043e\u043c<\/strong> (bread with butter and cheese). Children are also given either <strong>\u0447\u0430\u0439 \u0441 \u0441\u0430\u0301\u0445\u0430\u0440\u043e\u043c<\/strong> (tea with sugar), <strong>\u043c\u043e\u043b\u043e\u043a\u043e\u0301<\/strong> (milk), <strong>\u043a\u0435\u0444\u0438\u0301\u0440 \u0441 \u0441\u0430\u0301\u0445\u0430\u0440\u043e\u043c<\/strong> (kefir with sugar), <strong>\u0441\u043e\u043a<\/strong> (juice), <strong>\u043a\u0438\u0441\u0435\u0301\u043b\u044c<\/strong> (\u201ckissel\u201d, a sweet fruit juice thickened with cornstarch or potato starch), or <strong>\u043a\u043e\u043c\u043f\u043e\u0301\u0442<\/strong> (\u201ckompot\u201d, a sweet beverage made of stewed dried fruits).<\/p>\n<p>9:00 \u2014 9:40 After breakfast, there is always an educational activity of some sort. It may be <strong>\u0447\u0438\u0442\u0430\u0301\u043b\u044c\u043d\u044b\u0439 \u0447\u0430\u0441<\/strong> (reading hour), a fun game or activity designed to develop motor skills, or a musical\/theatrical activity, where kids learn songs, dance, or rehearse for a play. There are also always some salads, like <strong>\u0432\u0438\u043d\u0435\u0433\u0440\u0435\u0301\u0442<\/strong> or <strong>\u0441\u0430\u043b\u0430\u0301\u0442 \u0441 \u043f\u043e\u043c\u0438\u0434\u043e\u0301\u0440\u0430\u043c\u0438 \u0438 \u043e\u0433\u0443\u0440\u0446\u0430\u0301\u043c\u0438<\/strong> (vinegret or salad with tomatoes and cucumbers).<\/p>\n<p>12:30 \u2014 15:00 An integral part of a kindergartener\u2019s day is <strong>\u0442\u0438\u0301\u0445\u0438\u0439 \u0447\u0430c <\/strong>(nap time).
