Known as <strong>\u0420\u043e\u0434\u0438\u0301\u0442\u0435\u043b\u044c\u0441\u043a\u0438\u0439 \u0434\u0435\u043d\u044c \u0438\u0301\u043b\u0438 \u0420\u0430\u0434\u043e\u0301\u043d\u0438\u0446\u0430<\/strong>\u00a0(Roditel\u2019skiy Den\u2019 or Radonista), this day is directly related to Orthodox Easter and you can read more about the gist of it in Yelena\u2019s old blog <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/russian\/even-more-about-russian-easter\/\">here<\/a>. More broadly, <strong>\u0443\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0435\u0301\u0442\u044c<\/strong> can simply equate to \u2018ceasing to exist or live\u2019 or \u2018to stop working\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u0422\u0432\u043e\u0438\u0301 \u0441\u0435\u043a\u0440\u0435\u0301\u0442\u044b \u0443\u043c\u0440\u0443\u0301\u0442 \u0441\u043e \u043c\u043d\u043e\u0439. Your secrets die with me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u041c\u043d\u0435 \u0441\u0440\u043e\u0301\u0447\u043d\u043e \u043d\u0443\u0436\u043d\u0430\u0301 \u0437\u0430\u0440\u044f\u0301\u0434\u043a\u0430 \u043e\u0442 \u043d\u0430\u0443\u0301\u0448\u043d\u0438\u043a\u043e\u0432 \u2014 \u043e\u043d\u0438\u0301 \u0432\u043e\u0442-\u0432\u043e\u0301\u0442 \u0443\u043c\u0440\u0443\u0301\u0442. I need my headphones\u2019 charger ASAP. They are about to die.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are, of course, even more figurative expressions with the word \u2018<strong>\u0443\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0435\u0301\u0442\u044c<\/strong>\u2019, as in <strong>\u2018\u0443\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0435\u0301\u0442\u044c \u0441\u043e \u0441\u0442\u0440\u0430\u0301\u0445\u0443\u2019 <\/strong>or <strong>\u2018\u0443\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0435\u0301\u0442\u044c \u0441\u043e \u0441\u0442\u044b\u0434\u0430\u0301\u2019<\/strong> (\u2018to die of fear\u2019 or \u2018to die from embarrassment\u2019).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u041f\u043e\u0433\u0438\u0301\u0431\u043d\u0443\u0442\u044c<\/strong> means to be killed by some outside force, usually brutally. For example, one can<strong> \u2018\u043f\u043e\u0433\u0438\u0301\u0431\u043d\u0443\u0442\u044c \u0432 \u0431\u043e\u0301\u044e\u2019<\/strong> (to die in battle), <strong>\u2018\u043f\u043e\u0433\u0438\u0301\u0431\u043d\u0443\u0442\u044c \u0432 \u043f\u043e\u0436\u0430\u0301\u0440\u0435\u2019<\/strong> (to die in a fire).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0421\u043a\u043e\u043d\u0447\u0430\u0301\u0442\u044c\u0441\u044f<\/strong> is a more formal and literary word for \u2018<strong>\u0443\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0435\u0301\u0442\u044c<\/strong>\u2019. It comes from the noun \u2018<strong>\u043a\u043e\u043d\u0435\u0301\u0446<\/strong>\u2019, which means \u2018the end\u2019.
