Second of all, according to this <a href=\"https:\/\/crimea.ria.ru\/politics\/20210428\/1119518035\/Kak-budut-formirovat-spisok-nedrugov-Rossii---Lavrov.html\">article<\/a>, the list will first and foremost serve as a basis for any potential <strong>\u0441\u0430\u0301\u043d\u043a\u0446\u0438\u0438<\/strong> (sanctions) as well as prohibit embassies and consulates of these \u2018unfriendly countries\u2019 to hire Russian citizens. The US wasn\u2019t the only one that expressed its discontent about the issue. What of the families relying on tourist visas to see their loved ones living in the US? It seems as if the global pandemic and subsequent travel restrictions weren\u2019t enough of an obstacle and now this.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, the situation leaves a lot of questions for those seeking <strong>\u043d\u0435\u0438\u043c\u043c\u0438\u0433\u0440\u0430\u0446\u0438\u043e\u0301\u043d\u043d\u044b\u0435 \u0432\u0438\u0301\u0437\u044b<\/strong>\u00a0(nonimmigrant visas). And I\u2019ll remind you that earlier this year the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/russian\/news-55374254\">US closed two of its consulates in Russia:<\/a> one in Vladivostok and another in Yekaterinburg.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent news sprung a response from a number of commercial visa-processing agencies that are offering alternative routes for students applying for <a href=\"https:\/\/vizahod.ru\/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B7%D0%B0-%D0%B2-%D1%81%D1%88%D0%B0\/%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B8\/%D1%81%D1%82%D1%83%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BD%D1%87%D0%B5%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%8F-%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B7%D0%B0-%D0%B2-%D1%81%D1%88%D0%B0-2021\">visas this year.<\/a> They are saying Russian citizens can apply through embassies in Israel, Poland, and the UK.<\/p>\n<p>But let\u2019s go back to the Russian words for \u201cunfriendly\u201d for a second.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>\u00ab\u041d\u0435\u0434\u0440\u0443\u0301\u0436\u0435\u0441\u0442\u0432\u0435\u043d\u043d\u044b\u0439\u00bb<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Aside from wanting to understand how this top-level political decision affects regular people, I kept rereading the name <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>\u0441\u043f\u0438\u0301\u0441\u043e\u043a \u043d\u0435\u0434\u0440\u0443\u0301\u0436\u0435\u0441\u0442\u0432\u0435\u043d\u043d\u044b\u0445 \u0441\u0442\u0440\u0430\u0301\u043d<\/strong>\u201d and its subsequent translation in the Western media as \u201cthe list of unfriendly countries\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>I actually read the headlines in English first, so when trying to translate the word \u201cunfriendly\u201d in my head I immediately went to the Russian word \u201c<strong>\u043d\u0435\u0434\u0440\u0443\u0436\u0435\u043b\u044e\u0301\u0431\u043d\u044b\u0439<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14268\" style=\"width: 360px\" \u2018<strong>\u043d\u0435\u0434\u0440\u0443\u0436\u0435\u043b\u044e\u0301\u0431\u043d\u044b\u0439<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>According to Wiktionary, <strong>\u0434\u0440\u0443\u0436\u0435\u043b\u044e\u0301\u0431\u043d\u044b\u0439<\/strong> and means <a
