On the other hand, there is a sad fact called &#8220;<em>intellectual<\/em> (<em>\u0438\u043d\u0442\u0435\u043b\u043b\u0435\u043a\u0442\u0443\u0430\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0430\u044f<\/em>) <em>emigration<\/em> (<em>\u044d\u043c\u0438\u0433\u0440\u0430\u0446\u0438\u044f<\/em>)&#8221; or &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Human_capital_flight\">brain drain<\/a>.&#8221; Despite the importance of <em>discoveries<\/em> (<em>\u043e\u0442\u043a\u0440\u044b\u0442\u0438\u044f<\/em>) in <em>science<\/em> (<em>\u043d\u0430\u0443\u043a\u0430<\/em>), Russia pays low money for it. Therefore, many of the <em>greatest minds<\/em> (<em>\u0432\u0435\u043b\u0438\u0447\u0430\u0439\u0448\u0438\u0435 \u0443\u043c\u044b<\/em>) <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/russian\/russian-outside-russia\/\"><em>emigrate<\/em> (<em>\u044d\u043c\u0438\u0433\u0440\u0438\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0430\u0442\u044c<\/em>) to other countries<\/a>, where they are more appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>To be honest, the<em> low wage<\/em> (<em>\u043d\u0438\u0437\u043a\u0430\u044f \u0437\u0430\u0440\u043f\u043b\u0430\u0442\u0430<\/em>) is not the only reason for the outflow of <em>intelligent<\/em> (<em>\u0443\u043c\u043d\u044b\u0439<\/em>) people from Russia. There are some others as well. For example, the lack of government support and financial project implementation <em>assistance <\/em>(<em>\u043f\u043e\u043c\u043e\u0449\u044c<\/em>). Or <em>ethnic persecution<\/em> (<em>\u044d\u0442\u043d\u0438\u0447\u0435\u0441\u043a\u043e\u0435 \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0441\u043b\u0435\u0434\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0438\u0435<\/em>) that was widespread during the Soviet period. For instance, the family of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sergey_Brin\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Sergey Brin<\/span><\/a> (\u0421\u0435\u0440\u0433\u0435\u0439 \u0411\u0440\u0438\u043d), one of the <em>founders<\/em> (<em>\u043e\u0441\u043d\u043e\u0432\u0430\u0442\u0435\u043b\u0438<\/em>) of Google, moved in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>As I mentioned above, this is a complex topic. Then a few more people modified the idea. But the parachute remained unreliable and cumbersome. Finally, in 1911, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gleb_Kotelnikov\">Gleb Kotelnikov <\/a>(\u0413\u043b\u0435\u0431 \u041a\u043e\u0442\u0435\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0438\u043a\u043e\u0432), a Soviet actor and parallel inventor, designed the knapsack-parachute. Europe immediately began using his project. However, a relatively small number of people know about <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alexander_Lodygin\">Alexander Lodygin <\/a>(\u0410\u043b\u0435\u043a\u0441\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0440 \u041b\u043e\u0434\u044b\u0433\u0438\u043d). In fact, he worked in parallel with Edison and made an equal <em>contribution<\/em> (<em>\u0432\u043a\u043b\u0430\u0434<\/em>) to it. Lodygin received his<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Incandescent_light_bulb\">incandescent bulb<\/a><\/em> (<em>\u043b\u0430\u043c\u043f\u0430 \u043d\u0430\u043a\u0430\u043b\u0438\u0432\u0430\u043d\u0438\u044f<\/em>) <em>patent<\/em> (<em>\u043f\u0430\u0442\u0435\u043d\u0442<\/em>) in 1874. He was also the first to suggest using spiral-shaped tungsten filaments (a very thin carbon rod) in bulbs and pumping air out of them. In 1906, the well-known <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/General_Electric\">General Electric Company<\/a> bought Lodygin&#8217;s patent. Nevertheless, he did it already in the USA. Guess what I&#8217;m going to say now? While he was studying in Russia, the authorities began to persecute him for participating in student gatherings in Moscow. Therefore, he moved to China. Then to Germany. Then to France. He eventually settled in the United States. There, in 1944, he founded his own company, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ampex\">Ampex<\/a> <span lang=\"ru-RU\">(<\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\"><b>A<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\">lexander <\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\"><b>M<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\">. <\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\"><b>P<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\">oniatoff <\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\"><b>Ex<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"ru-RU\">cellence)<\/span>. As a child, he played the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pentomino\">Pentomino<\/a> <em>puzzle<\/em> (<em>\u0433\u043e\u043b\u043e\u0432\u043e\u043b\u043e\u043c\u043a\u0430, \u043f\u0430\u0437\u043b<\/em>) game. Its essence was to assemble one big one from several figures. Alexey decided to computerize the game. However, Pajitnov modified it to a well-known version. He is also the developer of many other popular computer games. Even though Alexey created Tetris in Russia, he also emigrated. I think you have already guessed that that country was the United States. Already there, in 1996, he founded <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Tetris_Company\">The Tetris Company<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">On the contrary, I will end today&#8217;s blog by saying that not all geniuses leave Russia. Some still remain there.
