How did I get interested in the Russian language and Russia in general? \u00ab\u041a\u043e\u0433\u0434\u0430<\/span> \u043c\u043d\u0435 \u0431\u044b<\/span>\u043b\u043e \u043e\u0434\u0438<\/span>\u043d\u043d\u0430\u0434\u0446\u0430\u0442\u044c \u043b\u0435\u0442, \u044f \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0447\u0438\u0442\u0430<\/span>\u043b\u0430 \u043a\u043d\u0438<\/span>\u0433\u0443 \u043e \u0420\u043e\u043c\u0430<\/span>\u043d\u043e\u0432\u044b\u0445.\u00bb<\/strong> [When I was eleven years old, I read a book about the Romanovs.] It was a work of historical fiction focusing on Anastasia Romanova, the youngest of the Grand Duchesses. The epilogue contained information about what happened to the ill-fated Romanovs and also a bit about the Russian language. I was intrigued.<\/p>\n

Fast forward several years. \u00ab\u042f \u043d\u0430\u0447\u0430\u043b\u0430<\/span> \u0437\u0430\u043d\u0438\u043c\u0430<\/span>\u0442\u044c\u0441\u044f \u0440\u0443<\/span>\u0441\u0441\u043a\u0438\u043c \u044f\u0437\u044b\u043a\u043e<\/span>\u043c \u0432 \u0443\u043d\u0438\u0432\u0435\u0440\u0441\u0438\u0442\u0435<\/span>\u0442\u0435.\u00bb<\/strong> [I started studying Russian at university.] \u00ab\u042f \u043e<\/span>\u0447\u0435\u043d\u044c \u043b\u044e\u0431\u043b\u044e<\/span> \u0440\u0443<\/span>\u0441\u0441\u043a\u0438\u0439 \u044f\u0437\u044b<\/span>\u043a\u00bb<\/strong> [I love the Russian language], which is a good mentality for a Russian language blogger, right?<\/p>\n

What sort of topics to expect in the future? \u00ab\u042f \u043b\u044e\u0431\u043b\u044e<\/span> \u0438\u0441\u0442\u043e<\/span>\u0440\u0438\u044e\u00bb<\/strong> [I love history], so some discussion about Russian history is definitely in order. \u00ab\u041a\u0430<\/span>\u0436\u0434\u044b\u0439 \u0434\u0435\u043d\u044c \u044f \u0447\u0438\u0442\u0430<\/span>\u044e \u043d\u043e<\/span>\u0432\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0438 \u043d\u0430 \u0440\u0443<\/span>\u0441\u0441\u043a\u043e\u043c\u00bb<\/strong> [I read the news in Russian every day], so current events and politics will be featured as well (in fact, I found an amusing video while reading \u00ab\u0420\u0418\u0410 \u041d\u043e<\/span>\u0432\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0438\u00bb<\/strong> [RIA Novosti, a Russian news agency] today that I plan to write about). And, of course, we mustn’t forget \u00ab\u0433\u0440\u0430\u043c\u043c\u0430<\/span>\u0442\u0438\u043a\u0430\u00bb<\/strong> [grammar]. It’s the grammar that truly makes the Russian language \u00ab\u0432\u0435\u043b\u0438<\/span>\u043a\u0438\u0439 \u0438 \u043c\u043e\u0433\u0443<\/span>\u0447\u0438\u0439\u00bb<\/strong> [great and mighty], if you ask me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\"\"
