Coincidentally, writing is a really great way to improve your language skills. You might think writing a whole 50 000-word or longer novel in a foreign language in 30 days is not possible.<\/p>\n

The subject is love, but there are also four conditions:<\/p>\n
\n- A story must mention a queen<\/li>\n
- God must be mentioned<\/li>\n
- There must be a little bit of sex<\/li>\n
- There must be some mystery<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
The winning story was this one-liner: \u201cGood God!, exclaimed the queen. \u201cIt seems I am pregnant and don\u2019t know who is the father!\u201d]<\/p>\n
So the point is if you only have time or patience for a couple of sentences each day, then that\u2019s what you should do.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s why starting November 1st<\/sup>, we will post a word (or several), a phrase or even an unfinished sentence to the Learn Russian Facebook page. \u00ab<\/strong>\u0412\u0430<\/span>\u0448\u0430 <\/strong>\u0437\u0430\u0434\u0430<\/span>\u0447\u0430\u00bb<\/strong> [Your task] is to write a sentence that uses the given words.<\/p>\nWith each new sentence you write, try to weave it into a narrative. If you would like to write more than one sentence, feel free. You can share your sentences with others on our Facebook page. Or you can simply respond with \u201cDone\u201d once you complete each day\u2019s writing in case you prefer to keep your work private.<\/p>\n
A note on grammar:<\/strong> Words will be posted in their dictionary form – singular masculine nouns and adjectives; singular, imperfective, normal aspect verbs. Feel free to change gender, tense, aspect, etc to better suit the needs of your creative process. Be liberal with your use of prefixes and suffixes.<\/p>\nA note on format:<\/strong> There are no format or length requirements for this challenge. The only requirement is that you use all the words for that day. You can even craft separate sentences for each word\/phrase.<\/p>\nA note on language:<\/strong> The daily words\/phrases will be in Russian with no accompanying translation. It is up to you to look up the translation. If several translations are available, you are free to choose whichever one you prefer.<\/p>\nSounds interesting?
