I have prepared another post with a verb of the week. sentence because it uses the word in a more figurative sense.<\/p>\n<p>One important thing to remember about this verb: if you want to say that a store (or something else) is opening, you must use the reflexive. But if a person is doing the opening, then it is not reflexive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u041c\u0430\u0433\u0430\u0437<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0438<\/span>\u043d \u043e\u0442\u043a\u0440\u044b\u0432<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0430<\/span>\u0435\u0442\u0441\u044f \u0432 \u0434<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0435<\/span>\u0432\u044f\u0442\u044c \u0447\u0430\u0441<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u043e<\/span>\u0432 \u0443\u0442\u0440<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0430<\/span>.<\/strong> [The store opens at nine o&#8217;clock A.M.]<\/p>\n<p>And finally, the sentence you have all been waiting for, the reason why I have a picture of a random box at the top of this post.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0410 \u043b<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0430<\/span>\u0440\u0447\u0438\u043a \u043f\u0440<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u043e<\/span>\u0441\u0442\u043e \u043e\u0442\u043a\u0440\u044b\u0432<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0430<\/span>\u043b\u0441\u044f.<\/strong> [And the box simply opened.] This is a saying in Russian (I think I heard somewhere that it comes from a fairy tale, but correct me if I am wrong) that means that the solution to a problem was quite simple. It is what we can call <strong>\u043a\u0440\u044b\u043b<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0430<\/span>\u0442\u044b\u0435 \u0441\u043b\u043e\u0432<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u0430<\/span><\/strong> [winged words], meaning that it has become common knowledge in the language.<\/p>\n<p><em>Any questions?
