I’ve been wanting for a while to make a video for the blog, but it took me a while to get over my camera-shyness — not to mention, fix some technical problems with my camcorder and figure out how to (sorta) use video-editing software.<\/p>\n
As my debut \u0440\u043e<\/span>\u043b\u0438\u043a<\/b> (“video clip”) for the blog, I decided to take a stab at a famous children’s poem: \u0411\u0430\u0433\u0430\u0436<\/b> (“baggage; luggage”) by \u0421\u0430\u043c\u0443\u0438<\/span>\u043b \u042f<\/span>\u043a\u043e\u0432\u043b\u0435\u0432\u0438\u0447 \u041c\u0430\u0440\u0448\u0430<\/span>\u043a<\/b> (S.Y. Marshak<\/a>), first published circa 1926.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The humorous plot is straightforward enough: a \u0434\u0430<\/span>\u043c\u0430<\/b> (“genteel lady”) decides to take a train trip — her destination is the Ukrainian city of \u0416\u0438\u0442\u043e<\/span>\u043c\u0438\u0440<\/b>, and since the town of \u0414\u043d\u043e<\/b> is along the route, we can assume that she probably started from \u041b\u0435\u043d\u0438\u043d\u0433\u0440\u0430<\/span>\u0434<\/b>:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Anyway, she checks in seven items of luggage, one of which is a very small pet dog. But the little poochy manages to escape during the trip, and the railway employees attempt to pull a fast one by substituting a huge, shaggy, stray mutt.
