The first letter of every word is the first letter of the corresponding color. You will notice that there are two words for &#8220;blue&#8221; &#8212; more on that below.<\/p>\n<h2>Reds<\/h2>\n<p>The basic word for red is <strong>\u043a\u0440<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">\u0430<\/span>\u0441\u043d\u044b\u0439<\/strong>. However, it has numerous synonyms and shades. I will not attempt to give a comprehensive overview &#8212; here are a few frequently used descriptions. I will not be giving English translations because they often don&#8217;t line up with the Russian colors (e.g., crimson can be either \u043c\u0430\u043b\u0438\u043d\u043e\u0432\u044b\u0439 or \u0431\u0430\u0433\u0440\u043e\u0432\u044b\u0439, but these two are distinct shades in Russian).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u043c\u0430\u043b<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">\u0438<\/span>\u043d\u043e\u0432\u044b\u0439<\/strong> &#8211;
