\u00bfTe gusta la m\u00fasica<\/strong>? (Do you like music?) If you’re like me, you’ll probably answer “\u00a1Me encanta la m\u00fasica<\/strong>!” (“I love music!”). Not only is listening to music fun, but we can also learn something from it. I love listening to Spanish music, whether it’s that hot new reggaeton jam on the radio or a traditional mariachi band in the plaza. Even if I can’t really understand the lyrics – which is true most of the time – it’s nice to listen to songs in Spanish. I especially enjoy watching the music videos, as they’re usually quite the production!<\/p>\n

Top Spanish Songs of 2018<\/h2>\n

In this post, we’ll look at some of the top Spanish songs of 2018. I even took the time to find the lyrics in both Spanish and English so you can sing along and study at the same time!\u00a0Since the lyrics are a lot to digest, I’ve gone ahead and split this into two posts with five songs each.<\/p>\n

This list is in no particular order. It was created based on what I heard living and traveling in Latin America<\/a> in combination with the most popular songs on Spotify and iTunes. To ensure this post is different from last year’s, I’ve only included songs that were released in 2018 (sorry, “Despacito”).<\/p>\n

For each song, I’ve included the official music video first, followed by the lyrics\u00a0en espa\u00f1ol. You can then watch a different video that shows the lyrics for some reading\/listening practice. Finally, I’ve included the best English translations I could find for each song.\u00a0\u00a1Disfruta la m\u00fasica<\/strong>! (Enjoy the music!)<\/p>\n
