In this Spanish lesson we are going to look at how to express agreement or disagreement in Spanish. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. \nElegir: to choose<\/p>\n

Now play the audio to listen a conversation between two parents. Can you understand what they are saying? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every single thing the two people are saying. Try to catch whichever words you can and then try to piece things together to work out what is being said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lola: Oye Keith \u00bfQu\u00e9 te parece que el uniforme sea opcional en el colegio? Yo no lo veo bien.
\nKeith: Pues yo estoy a favor. Me parece importante que los ni\u00f1os puedan elegir la ropa que quieren llevar al colegio. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 te parece mal?
\nLola: A ver, no es que lo vea mal, pero seguramente los padres acaben eligiendo si sus hijos llevan uniforme o no, no los ni\u00f1os.
\nKeith: Puede ser, pero los padres deber\u00edan dejar a sus hijos elegir siempre.
\nLola: \u00bfSiempre? No estoy de acuerdo al cien por cien. Est\u00e1 bien que los ni\u00f1os tomen algunas decisiones, pero hay cosas que los padres deben decidir.
\nKeith: \u00bfEntonces t\u00fa vas a decir a tu hijo si tiene que llevar uniforme o no?
\nLola: S\u00ed, por supuesto. Andr\u00e9s va a llevar uniforme al colegio todos los d\u00edas. Soy la madre y yo decido.
\nKeith: Bueno, es tu opini\u00f3n y es tu hijo. Pero yo eso no lo veo bien.
\nLola: \u00bfEntonces tu hija Emily va a decidir qu\u00e9 ropa va a llevar todos los d\u00edas?
\nKeith: Evidentemente. Cuando el colegio permita que los ni\u00f1os vayan a clase con o sin uniforme, Emily decidir\u00e1 qu\u00e9 prefiere.
\nLola: \u00bfY si un d\u00eda quiere llevar uniforme y otro d\u00eda no quiere?
\nKeith: Es su decisi\u00f3n.
\nLola: \u00bfY si un d\u00eda quiere llevar el uniforme de los ni\u00f1os?
\nKeith: Ser\u00e1 su decisi\u00f3n.
\nLola: Keith, est\u00e1s mal de la cabeza.
\nKeith: Pues yo creo que t\u00fa eres muy estricta. <\/p>\n
