In this Spanish lesson we are going to practice using Spanish conditional sentences. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

This lesson is part of a Spanish course that practices the grammar and vocabulary first introduced in my Intermediate Spanish course posted here on the Transparent Language blog. Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. The transcript to the audio will be given at the end of the post but please try not to look at it until you have tried playing and understanding the audio a few times. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Intermediate Spanish Lesson – Spanish conditional sentences<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Now play the audio to listen a conversation between between two friends. Can you understand what they are saying? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every single thing the two people are saying. Try to catch whichever words you can and then try to piece things together to work out what is being said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sof\u00eda: Hola George \u00bfVas a venir de camping este fin de semana?
\nGeorge: No creo. He mirado la previsi\u00f3n del tiempo y va a llover. Si hiciera buen tiempo hir\u00eda, pero si llueve no voy a ir.
\nSof\u00eda: \u00a1Pero hacer camping con lluvia es muy divertido! El verano pasado fui con mi hermana de camping y llovi\u00f3 todos los d\u00edas. Lo pasamos genial jugando a las cartas en la tienda de campa\u00f1a. Si no hubiera llovido, no lo habr\u00edamos pasado tan bien.
\nGeorge: \u00bfJugando a las cartas? Odio jugar a las cartas. Es un aburrimiento.
\nSof\u00eda: \u00bfY si llevo el scrabble vendr\u00e1s?
\nGeorge: \u00bfEl scrabble? \u00a1Es mi peor pesadilla!
\nSof\u00eda: \u00bfBueno, pues t\u00fa qu\u00e9 haces cuando llueve?
\nGeorge: Si llueve, me quedo en casa viendo la tele. Si hubiera televisi\u00f3n en tu tienda de campa\u00f1a ir\u00eda.
\nSof\u00eda: Pues no, no hay televisi\u00f3n. Pero voy a llevar mi estereo con un mont\u00f3n de m\u00fasica buen\u00edsima. Si me dices que canciones te gustan, puedo preparar un recopilatorio con tus canciones favoritas. \u00bfSi lo preparo vendr\u00e1s?
\nGeorge: Mmmm. No. Creo que no. Puedo escuchar m\u00fasica en casa. Si voy de camping quiero estar al aire libre. No en la tienda de campa\u00f1a todo el d\u00eda. No tiene sentido.
\nSof\u00eda: Bueno, pues entonces nada.
\nGeorge: Si cambia la previsi\u00f3n del tiempo y dicen que va a hacer sol ir\u00e9. Te llamar\u00eda si esto pasara.
\nSof\u00eda: Vale. Si me llamas y no te cojo el tel\u00e9fono, llama a mi hermana. Mi m\u00f3vil no funciona muy bien \u00faltimamente y a veces no suena.
\nGeorge: \u00a1Qu\u00e9 raro! Tienes que comprarte uno nuevo.
\nSof\u00eda: Si tuviera m\u00e1s dinero me comprar\u00eda uno ahora. Voy a esperar a las rebajas.
\nGeorge: Ah claro. Buena idea.<\/p>\n
