Maybe this is the reason why I have been thinking about my first job interview. I had just finished my degree, and it was the first time I was facing the unknown labor market. I had only worked as a waitress and some other minor summer jobs, but this was a real job interview! So when they selected me for this one, I wrote my resumé the best I could and I went to it feeling as a bundle of nerves. This was an opportunity to work in tourist information at the Alhambra, in my own city! The human resources manager was a serious, stern lady, which did not help me to relax at all.

She asked me about my work experience, and my answer was sincere: almost none. The next step in our conversation was quite tricky, because she asked me whether I thought I would be hired without having any previous experience. My response was also spontaneous: if they never offered me the first opportunity, it would never have any experience. Today, I’m not sure if this was the most suitable answer, but in fact I got the job!

Of course, there were also questions about my knowledge of computers, languages, skills, hourly availability, ability to work in a team, and any another factors that could help me to carry out my work.

Since this is an experience we all have to face sometimes, and not always with such good luck, I believe that these videos can help you to prepare for a job interview. And also to learn what you must never do, hehe!
