In this Spanish lesson we are going to practice using Spanish superlatives. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

This lesson is part of a Spanish course that practices the grammar and vocabulary first introduced in my Intermediate Spanish course posted here on the Transparent Language blog. Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. The transcript to the audio will be given at the end of the post but please try not to look at it until you have tried playing and understanding the audio a few times. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Intermediate Spanish Lesson – Spanish superlatives<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Now play the audio to listen a conversation between between two friends. Can you understand what they are saying? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every single thing the two people are saying. Try to catch whichever words you can and then try to piece things together to work out what is being said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steven: Hola Bea, vi a tu hijo corriendo la marat\u00f3n el otro d\u00eda. Es rapid\u00edsimo.
\nBeatriz: \u00bfNo lo sab\u00edas? Mi hijo es el mejor. Es el m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido de toda la provincia.
\nSteven: \u00bfEn serio?
\nBeatriz: Pues claro. Si gana todas las carreras. Tambi\u00e9n es el m\u00e1s estudioso y es el que saca las mejores notas de la clase.
\nSteven: \u00bfSeguro? Mi hija me dijo ayer que Eduardo Mu\u00f1oz saca todo sobresalientes y que en la \u00faltimas notas tuvo cuatro matr\u00edculas de honor.
\nBeatriz: \u00bfC\u00f3mo? \u00bfc\u00f3mo? \u00bfEduardo Mu\u00f1oz? No, imposible. Su padre, Diego Mu\u00f1oz, fue conmigo al colegio y era el peor de la clase. Tambi\u00e9n era aburrid\u00edsimo por cierto. Nadie le aguantaba. Mi hijo es el mejor de todos.
\nSteven: Pues Diego es mi mejor amigo y es la mar de simp\u00e1tico. Es super divertido.
\nBeatriz: Seguramente piensas eso porque t\u00fa eres tan aburrido como \u00e9l.
\nSteven: Bueno t\u00eda, te est\u00e1s pasando tres pueblos.
\nBeatriz: Venga no cambiemos de tema. Mi hijo es el mejor de la clase y eso es lo importante.
\nSteven: No s\u00e9 c\u00f3mo ser\u00e1 tu hijo, pero de lo que estoy seguro es de que t\u00fa eres la persona m\u00e1s insoportable que conozco.
\nBeatriz: Pues entre t\u00fa y Diego Mu\u00f1oz no s\u00e9 qui\u00e9n es m\u00e1s idiota.
\nSteven: Creo que me voy a ir antes de perder los nervios. Adi\u00f3s.
