In this Spanish lesson we are going to practice describing people negatively in Spanish. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

This lesson is part of a Spanish course that practices the grammar and vocabulary first introduced in my Intermediate Spanish course posted here on the Transparent Language blog. Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. The transcript to the audio will be given at the end of the post but please try not to look at it until you have tried playing and understanding the audio a few times. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Intermediate Spanish Lesson – How to describe people negatively in Spanish<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Now play the audio to listen a conversation between between two friends. Can you understand what they are saying? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every single thing the two people are saying. Try to catch whichever words you can and then try to piece things together to work out what is being said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nRaquel: S\u00ed, p\u00eddeme otra ca\u00f1a.
\nPaul: Bueno, pero esta ronda la pagas t\u00fa \u00bfno? Que yo ya he pagado cuatro.
\nRaquel: Ay qu\u00e9 plasta eres Paul.
\nPaul: \u00bfYo plasta? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9?
\nRaquel: Siempre mirando a ver qui\u00e9n paga m\u00e1s o menos\u2026 Eres un poco agarrado \u00bfno?
\nPaul: \u00bfYo agarrado? Venga Raquel. Mira que eres falsa. La agarrada eres t\u00fa, que nunca pagas nada y ya me he cansado de pagar todas las rondas.
\nRaquel: \u00a1Ser\u00e1s muerrno! Todo el d\u00eda pensando en dinero. Qu\u00e9 aburrimiento. Eres un tiquismiquis. \u00bfSabes que aqu\u00ed en Espa\u00f1a es de mala educaci\u00f3n pedirle a otra persona que pague? Deber\u00edas saberlo. Llevas viviendo aqu\u00ed muchos a\u00f1os Paul.
\nPaul: No seas payasa. Ya estoy harto. Si no pagas la siguiente ronda yo me largo.
\nRaquel: Venga pues vete. As\u00ed me sale m\u00e1s barato.
\nPaul: No puedo m\u00e1s. Me voy.
