In this Spanish lesson we are going to practice giving orders, advice and instructions in Spanish. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

This lesson is part of a Spanish course that practices the grammar and vocabulary first introduced in my Advanced Spanish course posted here on the Transparent Language blog. Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. The transcript to the audio will be given at the end of the post but please try not to look at it until you have tried playing and understanding the audio a few times. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Now play the audio to listen a conversation. Can you understand what is being said? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every single thing the two people are saying. Try to catch whichever words you can and then try to piece things together to work out what is being said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carmen: \u00a1Voy! \u2026.. \u00a1Hola Ben! Entra, entra. \u00bfQuieres un caf\u00e9?<\/p>\n

Ben: Vale, venga. Con leche de soja y dos cucharaditas de az\u00facar por favor. <\/p>\n

Carmen: Vale. \u00bfQuieres un caf\u00e9 bomb\u00f3n?<\/p>\n

Ben: \u00bfCaf\u00e9 bomb\u00f3n? \u00bfC\u00f3mo se hace?<\/p>\n

Carmen: Es muy f\u00e1cil. Primero coges un vaso muy peque\u00f1o, echas leche condensada hasta cubrir la mitad del vaso y despu\u00e9s pones un caf\u00e9 espresso por encima.<\/p>\n

Ben: Bueno, es que yo no bebo leche de vaca.<\/p>\n

Carmen: No te preocupes. Tengo leche condensada de soja. Venga, pru\u00e9balo. Si te gusta el caf\u00e9 dulce, el caf\u00e9 bomb\u00f3n te va a encantar.<\/p>\n

Ben: Vale venga. Ponme uno.<\/p>\n

Carmen: Muy bien. Y si\u00e9ntate, si\u00e9ntate. Estate tranquilo. Pareces nervioso Ben. \u00bfTe pasa algo?<\/p>\n

Ben: Bueno, tengo que contarte algo pero te ruego que no se lo digas a nadie.<\/p>\n

Carmen: Claro, claro. \u00bfQu\u00e9 te pasa?<\/p>\n

Ben: Sara me ha dejado y estoy hecho polvo. Creo que estoy deprimido.<\/p>\n

Carmen: \u00a1Oh no! \u00a1Haberlo dicho antes Ben! Te voy a preparar un carajillo.<\/p>\n

Ben: \u00bfUn qu\u00e9?<\/p>\n

Carmen: Un carajillo. Es un caf\u00e9 con licor. Tengo brandy y whisky. \u00bfQu\u00e9 le hecho?<\/p>\n
