In this Spanish lesson we are going to practice using the Spanish pronoun Se. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

This lesson is part of a Spanish course that practices the grammar and vocabulary first introduced in my Advanced Spanish course posted here on the Transparent Language blog. Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. The transcript to the audio will be given at the end of the post but please try not to look at it until you have tried playing and understanding the audio a few times. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Advanced Spanish Lesson – The Spanish pronoun Se<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Now play the audio to listen a conversation. Can you understand what is being said? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every single thing the two people are saying. Try to catch whichever words you can and then try to piece things together to work out what is being said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Phil: Hola Rosa. He visto que se vende el piso de tu vecino. <\/p>\n

Rosa: S\u00ed, es la casa de Manuel Ram\u00edrez. Se va a Barcelona a vivir. Ha encontrado un trabajo muy bueno all\u00ed. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 lo dices? \u00bfTe interesa el piso?<\/p>\n

Phil: No, no. Bueno s\u00ed. Pero ahora no tengo trabajo. No puedo comprarlo.<\/p>\n

Rosa: Pues ayer le\u00ed en el peri\u00f3dico que se buscan ingenieros en Intertec. Tu eres ingeniero, \u00bfno?<\/p>\n

Phil: S\u00ed, gracias Rosa. Voy a mirarlo.<\/p>\n

Rosa: S\u00ed s\u00ed, miralo. Oye, he quedado para comer con Rafa. \u00bfTe vienes? Vamos al bar Estrella. Es la primera vez que voy pero me han dicho que se come muy bien all\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Phil: \u00bfAl bar Estrella? No s\u00e9, creo que se come mucho mejor en el bar de al lado, el bar Pepe. En el bar Estrella se paga mucho por unos platos min\u00fasculos.<\/p>\n

Rosa: Pero la comida es excelente \u00bfno?<\/p>\n

Phil: Bueno, se puede comer, pero tampoco es para echar cohetes. Venga, vamos al bar Pepe a comer unas tapas. \u00a1Invito yo!<\/p>\n

Rosa: Bueno, bueno. Si t\u00fa invitas me apunto. Oye, \u00bfpero si no trabajas de d\u00f3nde sacas el dinero para invitar?<\/p>\n

Phil: Es que estoy viviendo con mis padres hasta que encuentre trabajo.<\/p>\n

Rosa: Ah claro. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 bien se vive con los padres!<\/p>\n
