In this Spanish lesson we are going to practice using Spanish phrases similar to Aunque. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. Now play the audio to listen a conversation. Can you understand what is being said? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every single thing the two people are saying. Try to catch whichever words you can and then try to piece things together to work out what is being said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Patrick: \u00bfQu\u00e9 te pasa Sonia? Tienes mala cara.<\/p>\n

Sonia: Nada nada. Solo estoy un poco resfriada. <\/p>\n

Patrick: \u00bfSeguro? Est\u00e1s muy p\u00e1lida. Igual deber\u00edas ir a casa y dormir un poco.<\/p>\n

Sonia: No, no. Voy a la oficina. Tengo que terminar un proyecto para ma\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n

Patrick: Creo que deber\u00edas ir a casa, de verdad. Por poco que duermas seguro que est\u00e1s mejor y puedes trabajar ma\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n

Sonia: No, d\u00e9jame Patrick. Digas lo que digas voy a ir ahora a trabajar.<\/p>\n

Patrick: Pues por m\u00e1s que trabajes, no creo que puedas terminar el proyecto en tu estado. <\/p>\n

Sonia: Tengo que terminarlo hoy. Es muy importante. <\/p>\n

Patrick: Por importante que sea, m\u00e1s importante es tu salud. Dile a tu jefe que est\u00e1s enferma.<\/p>\n

Sonia: No puedo. Me da miedo mi jefe. Por m\u00e1s que lo intento, no puedo hablar con \u00e9l de nada. Me da miedo que se enfade y me despida.<\/p>\n

Patrick: Pero por mucho que se enfade, no puede despedirte por estar enferma Sonia.<\/p>\n

Sonia: Igual tienes raz\u00f3n. Me siento fatal, la verdad. Pese a quien pese, me voy a casa.<\/p>\n

Patrick: Muy bien Sonia. Que te mejores.<\/p>\n

Sonia: Gracias.<\/p>\n
