In this Spanish lesson we are going to look at and practice using the Spanish Future and Conditional with Probability. As usual, first we will review some relevant grammar and vocabulary and then see if you can follow a short listening. <\/p>\n

This lesson is part of a Spanish course that practices the grammar and vocabulary first introduced in my Advanced Spanish course posted here on the Transparent Language blog. Let’s test your listening comprehension and see if you can understand a short audio in Spanish. The transcript to the audio will be given at the end of the post but please try not to look at it until you have tried playing and understanding the audio a few times. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Now play the audio to listen a conversation. Can you understand what is being said? Play the audio a few times before you look at the transcript. Elena: \u00bfD\u00f3nde estuviste ayer John? Hab\u00edamos quedado en la cafeter\u00eda Solana.<\/p>\n

John: \u00bfAyer? \u00bfCu\u00e1ndo, por la tarde? Pues no s\u00e9, estar\u00eda en casa. No me acuerdo. Creo que no sal\u00ed ayer.<\/p>\n

Elena: Pero hab\u00edamos quedado, \u00bfno te acordabas? Estar\u00edas tan tranquilo en casa, viendo la tele. No me lo puedo creer.<\/p>\n

John: Perdona Elena. \u00daltimamente estoy un poco despistado. No me acuerdo de nada. Estoy muy estresado con el trabajo, perdona.<\/p>\n

Elena: Bueno, vale. \u00bfVienes ahora a tomar algo? Necesitas relajarte. Venga una ca\u00f1a. He quedado con Ana en el bar, estar\u00e1 all\u00ed.<\/p>\n

John: Vale, voy. \u00bfViene Ana sola?<\/p>\n

Elena: Eso creo, vendr\u00e1 directa del trabajo. Ayer habl\u00e9 con ella por tel\u00e9fono. Se la notaba un poco triste pero no me dijo por qu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

John: Tendr\u00eda preocupaciones de trabajo. A m\u00ed me pasa todo el tiempo.<\/p>\n

Elena: Ya, ser\u00e1 dif\u00edcil desconectar cuando trabajas tanto. Yo soy feliz trabajando tres d\u00edas a la semana.<\/p>\n

John: S\u00ed claro, pero cobrar\u00e1s menos que si trabajaras cinco d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

Elena: S\u00ed, cobro menos pero gano en calidad de vida, que es m\u00e1s importante para m\u00ed. Deber\u00edas replantearte la vida.<\/p>\n

John: Quiz\u00e1s tengas raz\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

Elena: Bueno, vamos al bar, que Ana estar\u00e1 esper\u00e1ndonos.<\/p>\n
