He aquí un ejemplo:

In recent times, as a result of new technologies and toys, some games that used to be extremely popular among young children for many years are starting to disappear. I am sad to see how the new generations are missing so much fun with games as simple as these. All you needed was a group of friends, very little material, and a lot of imagination!

-The elastic band: Two children were had to stretch the band, and the rest of us had to jump over it without touching it. That was for beginners, when the band would be stretched around the ankles or knees. From there, the difficulty level would rise: the band would be stretched around the waist, chest, neck and even… (drum roll) around the top of your head! Obviously, you had to jump in any way you could, so the shortest kids would always be in trouble. You could also have four people stretching the band in a square formation to play in teams.

-The handkerchief: Good for aerobic exercise since, even though it was a short distance, you were running until you were out of breath. Two teams with an equal number of players lined up on each side, and one extra player would be placed right between both teams. This last child would hold out a handkerchief, which was the trophy both teams were fighting for. Players were numbered and, when the referee would call out their name, they had to run like a bat out of hell to be the first one to snatch the handkerchief and return to their team with it before being caught by their rival, who would be then eliminated.

-Jump roping: There is no limit to the number of participants, and those with artistic inclinations could also volunteer to sing the rhymes that were used to keep the rhythm. Here is an example in Spanish, with the lyrics:

I think this will help you get an idea. In future posts I will share some more games.
