Here we go!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Happiness or joy<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interjections in Spanish: \u00a1Yupi!, \u00a1s\u00ed!, \u00a1yey!, \u00a1(qu\u00e9) ch\u00e9vere! (esp. in Caribbean countries), \u00a1(qu\u00e9) guay! (esp. in Mexico), \u00a1(qu\u00e9) piola! (esp. in Argentina)<\/p>\n<p>Example: \u00a1Yupi, me encanta esta feria!; \u00a1qu\u00e9 ch\u00e9vere que llegaste a tiempo!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent in English: Yahoo!, yippee!, whoopee!, yay!, yeah!, whee!, great!, awesome!<\/p>\n<p>Example: I love this fair, yay!; it is really great you could arrive on time!<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Satisfaction, approval or acclaim towards another person\u2019s actions<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interjections in Spanish: \u00a1Hurra!, \u00a1excelente!, \u00a1grandioso!, \u00a1(qu\u00e9) grande!, \u00a1viva!, \u00a1bravo!<\/p>\n<p>Example: \u00a1Hurra por el equipo!; \u00a1qu\u00e9 grande, excelente jugada!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent in English: Hurrah, yay, well done!, congratulations!, bravo!<\/p>\n<p>Example: Hurrah for the team!; yay, your play was excellent!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Warning from an imminent danger<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interjections in Spanish: \u00a1Ojo!, \u00a1cuidado!, \u00a1atenci\u00f3n!, \u00a1epa!<\/p>\n<p>Example: \u00a1Ojo, que caen escombros!; \u00a1epa!, en esta zona no debes conducir tan r\u00e1pido.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent in English: Watch out!, look out!, be careful!, warning!, hey!<\/p>\n<p>Example: Watch out, there is falling debris!; hey, you shouldn\u2019t drive so fast in this area!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Perplexity or surprise\u2014even mock surprise<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interjections in Spanish: \u00a1Vaya! (vaya, vaya); fig\u00farate, caramba, v\u00e1lgame (Dios)<\/p>\n<p>Example: \u00a1Vaya, y dec\u00edan que ese tipo era todo un bravuc\u00f3n!; al final, tuve que terminar el trabajo yo solo, fig\u00farate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent in English: Well, well, well; go figure; oh, my; what are the odds, what about that, no kidding\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Example: Well, well, and people told us that guy was a real bully!; at the end, I had to finish the assignment by myself, go figure.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Reaction to a setback, an annoyance or a specially unpleasant circumstance<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interjections in Spanish: Rayos, centellas, maldici\u00f3n, rec\u00f3rcholis, demonios, diablos\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Example: Rayos, perdimos todo apostando; \u00bfqu\u00e9 diablos dijiste?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent in English: Damn, good heavens, holy cow, golly, yikes; hell, heck\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Example: Damn, we lost it all by gambling; what the hell did you say?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What do you think about interjections?
