First, we are going to learn some important vocabulary related to parts of the body and body shape and size and later we will practice useful sentence structures using the same vocabulary with \u201cel verbo tener\u201d (to have) and \u201cel verbo ser\u201d(to be). <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Listen and repeat after me:<\/p>\n<p>Ojos: eyes<br \/>\nPelo: hair<br \/>\nBoca: mouth<br \/>\nNariz: nose<br \/>\nOrejas: ears<br \/>\nOjos azules: blue eyes<br \/>\nOjos marrones: brown eyes<br \/>\nOjos verdes: green eyes<br \/>\nPelo rubio: blond hair<br \/>\nPelo casta\u00f1o: brown hair<br \/>\nPelo moreno: dark hair<br \/>\nPelo pelirrojo: ginger hair<br \/>\nPelo canoso: grey hair<br \/>\nPelo largo: long hair<br \/>\nPelo corto: short hair<br \/>\nGrande: big<br \/>\nPeque\u00f1o: small<br \/>\nBoca grande: big mouth<br \/>\nBoca peque\u00f1a: small mouth<br \/>\nNariz grande: big nose<br \/>\nNariz peque\u00f1a: small nose<br \/>\nOrejas grandes: big ears<br \/>\nOrejas peque\u00f1as: small ears<br \/>\nAlto \/ alta: tall<br \/>\nBajo \/ baja: short<br \/>\nGordo \/ Gorda: fat<br \/>\nDelgado \/ delgada: slim<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next, we are going to make some sentences using the verbs we have learned in previous lessons \u201cel verbo tener\u201d (to have) and \u201cel verbo ser\u201d(to be) which are key verbs when describing or asking questions about physical appearance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tengo los ojos marrones: I have brown eyes<br \/>\n\u00bfTienes el pelo rubio?: Have you got blonde hair?<br \/>\n\u00bfTiene el pelo rubio?: Have you got blonde hair? (formal)<br \/>\nTiene las orejas grandes: He \/ She has big ears<br \/>\nTenemos el pelo corto: We have short hair<br \/>\n\u00bfTen\u00e9is los ojos verdes?: Have you (group) got green eyes?<br \/>\n\u00bfTienen los ojos verdes?: Have you (group) got green eyes? (formal)<br \/>\nTienen la nariz peque\u00f1a: They have small noses<\/p>\n<p>Soy alto \/ alta: I am tall<br \/>\n\u00bfEres bajo \/ baja?: Are you short?<br \/>\n\u00bfEs bajo \/ baja?: Are you short? (formal)<br \/>\nAntonio es gordo: Antonio is fat<br \/>\nMar\u00eda es delgada: Mar\u00eda is slim<br \/>\nAntonio y yo somos bajos: Antonio and I are short<br \/>\n\u00bfSois altos?: Are you (group) tall?<br \/>\n\u00bfSon altos?: Are you (group) tall? (formal)<br \/>\nMar\u00eda y Nuria son bajas: Mar\u00eda and Nuria are short<br \/>\nNo soy alta: I am not tall<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is all for today. Start by writing a few sentences describing yourself, friends and family as this will help you to better remember the vocabulary and sentence structures from today\u2019s class.
