A long time ago, when Paraguayan Guaran\u00edes indigenous customs started to mix with the settlers\u2019 Catholic traditions, a new way to celebrate Christmas was born.<\/p>\n

The guaran\u00edes started to worship a tree in the jungle because, according to them, Jesus\u2019 father, Joseph, had swept the stable where Jesus was going to be delivered in with its branches and had also made His crib with them.<\/p>\n
