Sonar <\/em>is a very useful verb in Spanish and before I start explaining what it means, take a look at this dialog and see how this verb is used.<\/p>\n

Al otro lado de la l\u00ednea<\/em> (at the other end of the line), son\u00f3<\/em> <\/strong>(sounded) una voz grave e imponente<\/em> (a deep and imposing voice):
\n– Buenos d\u00edas. Deseo hablar con Rodrigo Monr\u00f3s \u2013 dijo la voz.
\n– Soy yo.
\n– Y yo soy Miguel \u00c1ngel Aguirre Zupay. \u00bfMe conoce usted?<\/em> (Do you know me?)
\n– Aguirre\u2026 s\u00ed, su nombre me suena<\/strong><\/em> (your name sounds familiar), pero no tengo el gusto de conocerlo \u2013 balbuce\u00f3<\/em> (stammered) Rodrigo.
