Vamos a ello:

Hello once again, my friends. On this part of the world we are already in autumn, though, in my city we hardly enjoy it, because we go from the asphyxiating summer heat to the icy cold of winter almost without interruption, what makes that we all, sooner or later, catch a big cold.

I don’t like taking too many medicines, so when I am in this situation, as I’m now, I usually resort to natural remedies to relieve my illness. I always have camomile at home, something I got used to since I was a child. It is one of the most beneficial herbs that I know. A compress, or a camomile tisane, is good for any kind of pain, stomachache, swellings, burns, blows, and obviously, also to treat the cold! Moreover, with a bit of lemon it is delicious.

I have added eucalyptus to the camomile, to try to eliminate the nasal congestion. It is the worst thing for me when I get a cold. In addition, to increase the effect, and to help to end with the cough, I put a bit of thyme and rosemary. The flavour is a bit strong, but its effects are worth it.

Although I have already given you the ingredients, I haven’t told you how the tisane is made! Let’s see:

· Put water in the fire, for example for 1 cup.

· Wait until it gets hot, and when it is starting to boil, add one teaspoonful of the herbal mixture that we have chosen.

· Leave the infusion to settle 5 ó 10 minutes.

· Strain it, and it will be ready to drink.

If we don’t have natural herbs, we can always buy them in bags, although we have to admit that the flavour will never be the same. And since we have our tisane ready, I’m leaving you to get rid of my cold before next day.

Hola otra vez amigos.
