I had some neighbors from Barcelona and until I was eight I could understand almost everything they said. But then I moved to another house, they moved to another city and Catalan was soon forgotten.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some years ago I decided to resume my Catalan studies and I came up with this very cool TV show called <strong>Plats Bruts<\/strong> (Platos Sucios &#8211; Dirty Plates). Here&#8217;s the Wikipedia summary for <strong>Plats Bruts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">David (Joel Joan) &#8211; un joven de 25 a\u00f1os y medio perteneciente a la alta burgues\u00eda que decide independizarse &#8211; y L\u00f3pes (Jordi S\u00e1nchez) &#8211; un locutor de radio diez a\u00f1os mayor que tiene problemas econ\u00f3micos- son dos compa\u00f1eros de piso que viven en el barrio barcelon\u00e9s de l&#8217;Eixample. Pronto descubren a su vecina Emma (M\u00f2nica Glaenzel), que vive en una casa de madera construida en el tejado y que trastocar\u00e1 todav\u00eda m\u00e1s su d\u00eda a d\u00eda. El resto de personajes, que se re\u00fanen en el bar Maurici &#8211; regentado por el camarero homosexual y compa\u00f1ero de clase de David en el Institut del Teatre Pol (Pau Dur\u00e0) -, son el compa\u00f1ero de trabajo de L\u00f3pes Ram\u00f3n (Llu\u00eds X.
