It is usually warm here but these days it has been very, very hot. So I decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/spanish\/spanish-lesson-beginner-28-talking-about-the-weather-in-spanish\/\"><strong>pick up where my Spanish friend Laura left off with her video lesson<\/strong><\/a> and talk a little bit more about the weather in Spanish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check out this conversation:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Paula<\/strong>: \u00bfHas escuchado el pron\u00f3stico del tiempo para el fin de semana?<br \/>\n<strong>Nuria<\/strong>: S\u00ed. El hombre del tiempo dijo que el s\u00e1bado habr\u00e1 sol, pero puede llover un poco el domingo.<br \/>\n<strong>Paula<\/strong>: Odio el tiempo lluvioso. La lluvia me deprime.<br \/>\n<strong>Nuria<\/strong>: Te entiendo. O sea, t\u00fa prefieres el verano, \u00bfverdad?<br \/>\n<strong>Paula<\/strong>: Sin duda. Para m\u00ed es la mejor estaci\u00f3n. Me encantan las actividades al aire libre.<br \/>\n<strong>Nuria<\/strong>: \u00bfY qu\u00e9 planes tienes para el fin de semana?<br \/>\n<strong>Paula<\/strong>: Pensaba irme a la playa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now let&#8217;s take a look at some importante points in this conversation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00bfHas escuchado&#8230;?<\/strong> &#8211; Have you heard&#8230;? This expression should be used when you actually hear something. When you want to know if someone has heard about something, a fact, gossip, etc., use the expression <em>\u00bfTe has enterado de que&#8230;?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>el pron\u00f3stico del tiempo<\/strong> &#8211; the weather forecast<br \/>\n<strong>el hombre del tiempo<\/strong> &#8211; the weather man<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>habr\u00e1<\/strong> &#8211; there will be. If you want to say &#8220;there would be&#8221;, use habr\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>puede<\/strong> &#8211; this verb form can be used to say &#8220;it may&#8221; or &#8220;it might&#8221;, stating possibility<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Odiar<\/strong> &#8211; when you hate something say, &#8220;Odio algo&#8221;, when you hate someone you add the preposition &#8220;a&#8221;, &#8220;Odio a alguien&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Te entiendo.<\/strong> &#8211; I understand you, I know how you feel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Para m\u00ed&#8230;<\/strong> &#8211; To me, in my opini\u00f3n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>actividades al aire libre<\/strong> &#8211; outdoor activities<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Pensaba irme a la playa.<\/strong> &#8211; In English we say &#8220;to think about doing something&#8221;, in Spanish we don&#8217;t need the preposition and the verb comes in the infinitive. Here are some examples:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pienso viajar a Per\u00fa el a\u00f1o que viene. <em>[I&#8217;m thinking about traveling to Peru next year.]<\/em><br \/>\n\u00bfQu\u00e9 piensas hacer ahora? <em>[What are you thinking about doing now?]<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00bfY ustedes? \u00bfQu\u00e9 tipo de tiempo les gusta m\u00e1s?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Conversation from <em>Fale tudo em espanhol<\/em>, Disal Editora.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Want more free resources to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.transparent.com\/learn-spanish\/\">learn Spanish<\/a>?
