Next, let\u00b4s make some wishes using de El Pret\u00e9rito Perfecto de Subjuntivo. How do you say these things in Spanish?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I hope you have bought chocolate.<br \/>\nI hope he has done the exam well.<br \/>\nI hope they have had a good time.<br \/>\nI hope Ana has left the party.<br \/>\nI hope you have read my book.<br \/>\nI hope we have been fair with you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Now please tell me what these Spanish sentences of probability mean:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Quiz\u00e1s no hayas estudiado suficiente.<br \/>\nQuiz\u00e1s Sara haya ido a la biblioteca.<br \/>\nPosiblemente lo hayamos hecho mal.<br \/>\nPosiblemente hayas llamado al n\u00famero equivocado.<br \/>\nQuiz\u00e1s hayan hablado ya con su profesor sobre el examen.<br \/>\nPosiblemente hayan visto ya esta pel\u00edcula.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Let\u00b4s practice now how to make sentences expressing opinion in Spanish using El Pret\u00e9rito Perfecto de Subjuntivo. Now I am going to say a few sentences with relative clauses which use El Presente de Subjuntivo and I would like you to transform each sentence into one using El Pret\u00e9rito Perfecto de Subjuntivo. For example, if I say: \u201cNecesito encontrar a una persona que estudie espa\u00f1ol\u201d (which means \u201cI need to find a person who studies Spanish\u201d), you should say \u201cNecesito encontrar a una persona que haya estudiado espa\u00f1ol\u201d (which means \u201cI need to find a person who has studied Spanish.\u201d):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Busco a alguien que compre libros usados.<br \/>\nNecesito encontrar a alguien que hable con Sonia.<br \/>\n Buscamos personas que tengan animales.<br \/>\nMi hermana necesita a alguien que viaje a Barcelona.<br \/>\nEllos buscan a una persona que compre mucha ropa.<br \/>\nQueremos a alguien que sea simp\u00e1tico contigo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Finally, let\u00b4s practice El Pret\u00e9rito Perfecto de Subjuntivo with temporary sentences. I am going to ask you some questions and after I will say a verb in infinitive and I would like you to answer using El Pret\u00e9rito Perfecto de Subjuntivo. For example if I say \u201c\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo vas a ir a casa? (terminar), you should say \u201c Voy a ir a casa cuando haya terminado\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo vas a venir? (hablar con Lola)<br \/>\n\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo vas a terminar de estudiar? (memorizar todo)<br \/>\n\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo vas a ir a Nueva York? (leer la gu\u00eda de viajes)<br \/>\n\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo vas a barrer el suelo? (limpiar la cocina)<\/p>\n<p>Esto es todo por hoy.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you are clearer now on how to use El Pret\u00e9rito Perfecto de Subjuntivo. As you see, it is used in the same type of sentences as El Presente de Subjuntivo, so it is not as difficult as it looks in the first place.
