Firstly, I am going to say some sentences in Spanish using El Presente de Subjuntivo or El Pret\u00e9rito Imperfecto de Subjuntivo and I would like you to tell me if each particular sentences uses the correct Subjuntive or not:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Quiero que vengas conmigo<br \/>\nMe parec\u00eda raro que estuvieras enfadado.<br \/>\nBuscamos a personas que tuvieran estudios universitarios.<br \/>\nMar\u00eda quer\u00eda estudiar arquitectura cuando terminase sus estudios actuales.<br \/>\nAna y Pablo necesitan una casa que tuviera dos habitaciones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Now, I would like you to choose the correct sentence from a choice of two. For example, if I say: \u201cQuiero que vengas\/ Quiero que vinieras\u201d you should repeat the correct one. In this case \u201cQuiero que vengas\u201d is correct:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Me gustaba que me escuches \/ Me gustaba que me escucharas.<br \/>\nEsperamos que vengas \/ Esperamos que vinieras.<br \/>\nBuscaban personas que hablen tres idiomas \/ Buscaban personas que hablaran tres idiomas.<br \/>\nNo me gusta que hables tan alto \/ No me gusta que hablaras tan alto.<br \/>\nCarmen quer\u00eda que su hijo estudie Medicina \/ Carmen quer\u00eda que su hijo estudiara Medicina.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Next, I am going to say some sentences in the Spanish present tense using El Presente de Subjuntivo and I would like you to convert them to the past tense using El Pret\u00e9rito Imperfecto de Subjuntivo:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Me gusta que me escribas.<br \/>\nQueremos que nos visites.<br \/>\nEllos esperan que pruebes su comida.<br \/>\nMe parece raro que no me entiendas.<br \/>\nNo creo que vayas a tener problemas en tu viaje.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Please, translate the following sentences from English to Spanish.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I don\u00b4t want you to leave.<br \/>\nI hoped you understood me.<br \/>\nI didn\u00b4t think it was so important.<br \/>\nMy father wants me to call him now.<br \/>\nThey were looking for people who spoke Spanish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Finally, please translate the following sentences from Spanish to English:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ven cuando quieras.<br \/>\nNo quer\u00edamos que las vacaciones se terminasen.<br \/>\nEsperamos que os guste la comida.<br \/>\nQuer\u00edamos que escuch\u00e1rais esta canci\u00f3n.<br \/>\nNo creo que necesites trabajar m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>Bueno, ya hemos terminado la clase de hoy. <\/p>\n<p>I hope you see now more clearly when to use the different forms of the Spanish Subjunctive mode.
