Today&#8217;s topic is greetings and goodbyes.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of giving you a word-by-word explanation I chose to teach you chunks of words to help you learn better, ok?<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfEst\u00e1n listos?<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Dos amigos se encuentran en la parada de autob\u00fas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pablo: \u00a1Hola, Luis! \u00bfQu\u00e9 tal?<br \/>\nLuis: Voy tirando, Pablo. Ya ves, corriendo como siempre, voy a la oficina, Y t\u00fa, \u00bfc\u00f3mo est\u00e1s?<br \/>\nPablo: Bien, gracias. Pues yo voy a la escuela.<br \/>\nLuis: Vale, ah\u00ed viene mi autob\u00fas. Adi\u00f3s.<br \/>\nPablo: Hasta pronto.<\/p>\n<p><em>en la parada de autob\u00fas = at the bus stop<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u00bfQu\u00e9 tal? = How are you? How&#8217;s it going?<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Voy tirando = so-so<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ya ves = you see<\/em><br \/>\n<em> corriendo com siempre = running (busy) as always<\/em><br \/>\n<em> vale = OK<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ah\u00ed viene = here comes<\/em><br \/>\n<em> hasta pronto = see you soon<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. El se\u00f1or Jim\u00e9nez y Ana se encuentran en la calle:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ana: Buenos d\u00edas, se\u00f1or Jim\u00e9nez. \u00bfC\u00f3mo est\u00e1 usted?<br \/>\nSr. Jim\u00e9nez: Regular, hija. \u00bfY t\u00fa?<br \/>\nAna: Muy bien, gracias. Adi\u00f3s.<br \/>\nSr. Jim\u00e9nez: Hasta luego, ni\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p><em>en la calle = on the street<\/em><br \/>\n<em> regular = so-so<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. En la plaza tomando el sol:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Antonio : Bunas tardes. \u00bfQu\u00e9 hay?<br \/>\nJos\u00e9: Pues no estoy nada bien.<br \/>\nAntonio: \u00bfQu\u00e9 te pasas, hombre?<br \/>\nJos\u00e9: Estoy fatal, no he dormido bien esta noche.<br \/>\nAntonio: Pues nada, \u00a1qu\u00e9 te pongas bien!<\/p>\n<p><em>en la plaza = on the square<\/em><br \/>\n<em> tomando el sol = sunbathing<\/em><br \/>\n<em> no estoy nada bien = I&#8217;m not OK at all<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u00bfQu\u00e9 te pasa, hombre? = What&#8217;s wrong, man?<\/em><br \/>\n<em> fatal = awful<\/em><br \/>\n<em> no he dormido = I haven&#8217;t slept<\/em><br \/>\n<em> esta noche &#8211; tonight<\/em><br \/>\n<em> pues nada = don&#8217;t worry<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u00a1qu\u00e9 te pongas bien! = I hope you feel better<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
