Jazz and Blues grows on you by time. It was nothing I appriciated when I was younger.\u00a0Nowadays, I like to get into different moods and experience the audience around me. It was on a hot summer day in Slottskogen<\/a>\u00a0in Gothenburg last summer when I first saw Linda performing.\u00a0In the middle of the wild Swedish nature she was singing Monica Zetterlund songs. My first impression was that she\u00a0was like a Swedish version of Louise Nurding Redknepp. One year later when we meet at Musikens Hus (House of music) she tells me that\u00a0she\u00b4s sitting day in day out in a studio recording her own material and trying her wings in various ways. (Did you guys know\u00a0 that we have the most recording studios in the world\u00a0\u00a0per capita in Sweden by the way?)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>1. What is Swedish music for you and why do you think that Swedish music is so popular abroad?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

To me Swedish music is a combination of talent, hard work and passion.\u00a0I also believe that Swedish musicians, composers and producers are very good at picking up new infuences and integrate that in their own sound; Robyn is a\u00a0good example for that.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

2. Where are you from?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’m from V\u00e4rmland<\/a>– in the midwest of Sweden; a small village called Degerfors.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

3. What can you tell us about V\u00e4rmland? What is the essence of that landscape?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

V\u00e4rmland is a very beatyful place.\u00a0\u00a0Lot’s of nature; woods and lakes.\u00a0I think you can hear some of my own heritage in my music; I love the woods and feel very connected to Mother Earth. My last name; Skoog- is even the same as the word meaning ” forest “in Swedish!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

4. Could you summerize how it has been for you becoming an artist?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

My journey has been long and filled with hard work.\u00a0I was educated at Performing Art School for three years, but I have been singing and dancing since I was a little kid. Singing and writing songs is the passion of my life and makes me very happy- although living as a culture- worker sometimes is a struggle.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

5. You have recently been in studio what are you working on?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’ve recorded my first 4 songs with my band and hopefully I’ll go back in the studio this fall to do some more work.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>6. Forthcoming plans? Where do you want to go from here?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

My intention is to come out and play my music a lot, record a full- length cd and sing my way in to people’s hearts!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
