Every winter, the discussion is renewed.\u00a0 Some people argue that November is the worst. \u00a0The days just keep getting shorter.\u00a0 The dark keeps getting darker.\u00a0 The cold keeps getting colder.\u00a0 The winter just keeps winning.\u00a0 Plus, there really aren\u2019t many holidays to look forward to in November.\u00a0 This year, Alla helgons dag did fall in November, but it isn\u2019t guaranteed.<\/p>\n
Others argue that February is the worst.\u00a0 The winter just won\u2019t end.\u00a0 You\u2019ve made it through so many months.\u00a0 Christmas is over.\u00a0 New Years is over.\u00a0 The holiday drunkenness has carried over to a holiday hangover.\u00a0 Plus it\u2019s still cold.\u00a0 It\u2019s still dark.\u00a0 It\u2019s still winter.<\/p>\n
Of course, still others argue that January is the worst month.\u00a0 But those people are just wrong.\u00a0 January has days off from work. Holidays.\u00a0 Snow. Vacation.\u00a0 Life is good.<\/p>\n
Actually, the people who argue that February is the worst month are also wrong.\u00a0 February is a time of hope.\u00a0 Hope for lighter days.\u00a0 Hope for warmer temperatures.\u00a0 Hope for flowers and chirping birds and sunlight.\u00a0 Mostly sunlight.<\/p>\n
November is by far the roughest.\u00a0 It\u2019s that tweener month between fall and Christmas.\u00a0 The reminder that winter is descending.\u00a0 Again.\u00a0 Just like every year.\u00a0 It\u2019s the month of unexpected snow storms.\u00a0 Traffic jams due to ice.\u00a0 Late trains because of leaves on the tracks.\u00a0 Or snow on the tracks.<\/p>\n
