Ner-nere, upp-uppe, h\u00e4r-hit, hemma-hem, fram-framme, d\u00e4r-dit, bort-borta, ut-ute, in-inne. Adverbs of place tell us where something happens. In Swedish you make a difference when it comes to directions.<\/p>\n

The bus driver sits in the front<\/strong> in\u00a0the bus. (Bussf\u00f6raren sitter l\u00e4ngst fram<\/strong> i bussen.) Note: You mean the farthest seat in the front in Swedish.<\/p>\n

We are taking the boat to that direction\/that way<\/strong>. (Vi tar b\u00e5ten dit<\/strong>.) Note: meaning towards something in Swedish i.e. on the way to somewhere.<\/p>\n

All my best\u00a0friends were there<\/strong> at my birthday. (Alla mina b\u00e4sta v\u00e4nner var d\u00e4r<\/strong> p\u00e5 min f\u00f6delsedag.)<\/p>\n
