Obviously.)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes it\u2019s the little things that I miss from Sweden.\u00a0 And they aren\u2019t necessarily Swedish, but just something that I got used to.\u00a0 Like l\u00f6rdagsgodis.\u00a0 Kalles. \u00a0Snaps. \u00a0You know, the important things in life.<\/p>\n<p>But as my first year back in school comes to a close, my first year of teaching wraps up, I have found myself eating a lot of frozen pizza.\u00a0 A lot.\u00a0 It\u2019s not something I\u2019m proud of, but it just kind of happened.<\/p>\n<p>All this frozen pizza reminded me of the deliciousness that is a kebabpizza.\u00a0 Just a few years ago, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aftonbladet.se\/matvin\/article11510762.ab\">Aftonbladet<\/a>, obviously at the height of its investigative journalism, announced that Swedes had anointed the kebabpizza the most popular pizza in the country.\u00a0 With good reason. There are few things as delicious as tubed meat shaved into thin slices and spread across a thin crust pizza.\u00a0 Add a little garlic sauce, some peperoncinis and onions and you are set.<\/p>\n<p>No food can be truly judged as delicious until a song has been written in its honor (I\u2019d like to submit <em>Cheeseburger in Paradise<\/em> as exhibit one).\u00a0 Luckily, the Swedes are well aware of this and in 2008 a song titled <em>Kebabpizza Slivovitza<\/em> was entered into Melodifestivalen.\u00a0 Surprisngly, it did not advance.\u00a0 Some things are meant to stay inside a country\u2019s borders.\u00a0 Songs about kebabpizza might be one of them.<\/p>\n<p>With all this in mind though, it is no wonder after three years in the country that I yearn for the sweet taste of kebabpizza.\u00a0 While it may not be the food most people consider to be Swedish, it has become a late night staple for Swedes throughout the country.\u00a0 One well worth enjoying the next time you\u2019re in Sweden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes it\u2019s the little things that I miss from Sweden.\u00a0 And they aren\u2019t necessarily Swedish, but just something that I got used to.\u00a0 Like l\u00f6rdagsgodis.\u00a0 Kalles. \u00a0Snaps. \u00a0You know, the important things in life.
