That&#8217;s when we use the buried dog. The english equivalent would be &#8220;I smell rat&#8221; or &#8220;Something smells fishy&#8221;. Another Swedish idiom used in the same way is\u00a0 <strong>Ana ugglor i mossen &#8211; Suspect owls in the bog. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Jag tror inte att han \u00e4r m\u00f6rdaren.
