Or at least, they watch<strong> &#8220;Alls\u00e5ng p\u00e5 Skansen&#8221;<\/strong> (Sing-a-long from Skansen) on telly.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s something about Swedes and singing. We love it and we do it especially well in a big group. This love for a proper sing-a-long has resulted in thousands of sing-a-long-events all over Sweden. In the summer, lots of Swedish towns has their own\u00a0sing-a-long\u00a0which\u00a0basically include a stage, a sing-a-long leader,\u00a0a few celebrity guests,\u00a0some traditional Swedish songs, some pop tunes\u00a0and a singing audience. The big one has always been &#8220;Alls\u00e5ng p\u00e5 Skansen&#8221;\u00a0 &#8211; an incredibly popular TV-program on SVT (<strong>Sveriges Television<\/strong>)\u00a0that\u00a0has been shown on telly since 1979 but has been going as an event since 1935 &#8211;\u00a0but the last couple of years, Gothenburg have joined the sing-a-long battle with their &#8211; less popular &#8211; version &#8220;Lotta p\u00e5 Liseberg&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Every spring, the celebrities are fighting for an invite to &#8220;Alls\u00e5ng&#8230;&#8221; (prime time mainstream exposure&#8230;) and when\u00a0it&#8217;s showtime,\u00a0the audience camp outside to get a good seat and around two million people watch it on telly every week.\u00a0\u00a0This year\u00a0the show has a brand new host! His name is M\u00e5ns Zelmerl\u00f6f and this ladies and gentlemen, is a brave man. He is only the sixth host since the start in 1935 and the pressure on this poor young man&#8217;s shoulder in enormous! \u00a0Ok, I&#8217;m sure he&#8217;s getting a\u00a0decent salary for the job, but boy will he be judged, criticised, graded, written about&#8230; But, two shows in and so far so good though, M\u00e5ns seems to do his job rather well &#8211; according to the several polls regarding the subject. Well, as you understand, &#8220;Alls\u00e5ng&#8230;&#8221; is hot &#8211; and very serious &#8211; stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the new host M\u00e5ns&#8217; entry &#8211; and some lovely footage from a summery Stockholm.
