{"id":5523,"date":"2012-06-17T12:14:44","date_gmt":"2012-06-17T12:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/?p=5523"},"modified":"2014-06-26T22:28:32","modified_gmt":"2014-06-26T22:28:32","slug":"english-version-of-the-recipe-for-jordgubbstarta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/english-version-of-the-recipe-for-jordgubbstarta\/","title":{"rendered":"English Version of the recipe for JORDGUBBST\u00c5RTA!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have translated the recipe in case you need the english version or for you to learn how to use the Swedish one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sponge cake <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 Eggs<\/p>\n<p>2 dl Sugar<\/p>\n<p>3 dl Flour<\/p>\n<p>2 tsp Baking powder<\/p>\n<p>2 tsp Vanilla extract \/Vanilla sugar\/powder<\/p>\n<p>1 dl Water or milk<\/p>\n<p>50-75 grams butter\/margarine<\/p>\n<p>Breadcrumbs<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients for filling\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1- 2 st bananas<\/p>\n<p>lots of strawberries (or any type of berries of your choice)<\/p>\n<p>1-2,5 dl whipped cream (if not more depending on taste)<\/p>\n<p>Vanilla custard<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oven:175 G Time 40-45 min<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whip eggs and sugar in a bowl , whip until fluffy and airy.<\/li>\n<li>Mix all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl well, make sure there are no clumps of baking powder.<\/li>\n<li>Melt the butter\/margarine in a pan.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the flour mixture gradually into the bowl with the eggs and sugar, then adding butter and water or milk until the batter is nice and even.<\/li>\n<li>Mix with a rubberscraper or spoon.<\/li>\n<li>Grease the baking form with butter and coat with breadcrumbs.<\/li>\n<li>Pour batter into form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2012\/06\/Jordgubbst\u00e5rta-med-citronkr\u00e4m-bild-11.jpg\" aria-label=\"Jordgubbst\u00e5rta Med Citronkr\u00e4m Bild 11 300x225\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5540\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2012\/06\/Jordgubbst\u00e5rta-med-citronkr\u00e4m-bild-11-300x225.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Leave in the middle of the oven for aprox. 40 &#8211; 45 or when the cake is golden brown, and passes the toothpick test. Ie. if you stick a toothpick in the centre it should come out without any sticky parts on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2012\/06\/Jordgubbst\u00e5rta-med-citronkr\u00e4m-bild-21.jpg\" aria-label=\"Jordgubbst\u00e5rta Med Citronkr\u00e4m Bild 21 300x225\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5541\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2012\/06\/Jordgubbst\u00e5rta-med-citronkr\u00e4m-bild-21-300x225.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Once done, take out and leave to cool on counter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Next step if you are making a <strong>jordgubbst\u00e5rta<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once the cake has cooled cut it either into two or three layers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2012\/06\/Jordgubbst\u00e5rta-med-citronkr\u00e4m-bild-41.jpg\" aria-label=\"Jordgubbst\u00e5rta Med Citronkr\u00e4m Bild 41 300x225\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5542\"  alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/swedish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2012\/06\/Jordgubbst\u00e5rta-med-citronkr\u00e4m-bild-41-300x225.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Alternate the layers starting with the custard, then either mashed banana or banana slices, some also put sliced strawberries in between as well.
