At times like that who wouldn\u2019t want a couple of good phrases up their sleeve? There are some basic phrases which will most likely help you in understanding what the other person is saying.<\/p>\n<p>In this blogpost I\u2019m going to take up a lot of things. Giving directions and understanding them, some simple phrases to use so you can ask for the person to repeat what they said or just to say it a little slower. All these things and more will hopefully make your life a little easier if you live in Sweden already, make it a little more exciting if you want to try asking somebody who you know speaks Swedish.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll start by a simple conversation like:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cUrs\u00e4kta, Var finns n\u00e4rmaste mataff\u00e4r?\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHmm&#8230; G\u00e5 f\u00f6rbi det gula huset p\u00e5 din h\u00f6gra sida. Korsa \u00f6verg\u00e5ngsst\u00e4llet och sv\u00e4ng till h\u00f6ger igen.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cJag f\u00f6rst\u00e5r\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cSedan ser du en ICA butik bredvid trafikljusen.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cTack\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cDet var s\u00e5 lite s\u00e5\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cExcuse me, Where is the closest supermarket?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHmm&#8230; Walk past the yellow house on your right hand side.
