How often do you actually nee to respond to the question how often? Often enough it seems.\u00a0 And the Swedish language offers you a couple of different options when answering.\u00a0 As a general rule, the response is the word \u201ci<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hur ofta l\u00e4ser du dina mejl? En g\u00e5ng i timmen.<\/em><\/p>\n

How often do you read your e-mail? Once an hour.<\/p>\n

Hur ofta \u00e4ter du godis? Tv\u00e5 g\u00e5nger i veckan.<\/em><\/p>\n

How often do you eat candy? Twice a week.<\/p>\n

Hur ofta g\u00e5r du p\u00e5 bio? Tre g\u00e5nger i m\u00e5naden.<\/em><\/p>\n

How often do you go to the movies? Three times a month.<\/p>\n

You get the idea; of course, there are exceptions to this rule which exchange the \u201ci<\/em>\u201d for \u201com<\/em>.\u201d If you do something once a day (dag<\/em>), once every 24 hours (dygn<\/em>), or once a year (\u00e5r<\/em>) you\u2019ll need to use \u201com<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maybe you don\u2019t obsessively check your e-mail and instead only check it once a day. So:<\/p>\n

Hur ofta l\u00e4ser du dina mejl? En g\u00e5ng om dagen.<\/em><\/p>\n

Or maybe you have a sweet tooth and eat candy twice every 24 hours (and yes, \u201cdag<\/em>\u201d and \u201cdygn<\/em>\u201d are a bit different, \u201cdag<\/em>\u201d meaning day, and \u201cdygn<\/em>\u201d meaning the 24 hour period that includes day and night):<\/p>\n

Or maybe you\u2019re like me and don\u2019t consider yourself much of a movie buff, so instead of going three times a month, you go three times a year:<\/p>\n
