It is an examination at the advanced level just like the English proficiency test. The exam consists of three parts: Reading 75 minutes, Writing 150 minutes and Speaking 30 minutes. (Info Stockholms Universitet)<\/p>\n<p>English proficiency can be maintained through international language examinations like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.folkuniversitetet.se\/Las-mer-om-sprak\/Sprakexamina\/IELTS\/\">IELTS,<\/a> TOFEL or equivalent.<\/p>\n<p>Fees may vary please check the location where you intend to take the exam!<\/p>\n<p><strong>SWEDEX (For the labour market no Swedish personal number is needed)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Swedex is a unique, internationally viable Swedish language exam designed by Folkuniversitetet. Anyone whose mother tongue is not Swedish may take the exam, which relates to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Common_European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages\"><em>Common European Framework of Reference for Languages<\/em>,<\/a> the European Council&#8217;s level scale for language learning. From 2011 it is possible to take the exam at three levels: A2, B1 and B2. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.folkuniversitetet.se\/In-English\/Swedex_In_English\/\">Swedex<\/a> is approved by the government body the Swedish Institute and can be taken irrespective of how you have learnt Swedish. (info Folkuniversitetet)<\/p>\n<p>There is also a C1 test which is not called Swedex but C1-testing that doctors and other proffessionals use on the labour market in order to prove their language knowledge in Swedish. There are also preparation courses just like for the English IELTS-exams at the Swedish Folkuniversitetet.<\/p>\n<p>Fees may vary please check the location where you intend to take the exam!<\/p>\n<p><strong>SVENSKA 123 (For higher education with Swedish personal number)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For students who doesn&#8217;t or just partly have a Swedish high-school education but are Swedish residents have the opportunity to take part of these courses for free. This exam i.e. Svenska 3 is enough for eligibility to Swedish higher education studying in Swedish.
