As temperatures drop and the cold weather blues set in, Swedes harness \u201cmys.\u201d The Danish and Norwegian \u201chygge\u201d is not the only Nordic concept used to encapsulate wellbeing and coziness.\u00a0 The phenomenon of long and cold winters in Scandinavia is nothing new, so instead of letting the lack of sun and cold temperatures get them down, Swedes combat this feeling by mastering <\/span>mys<\/span><\/i> around their homes, businesses, and town centers. It\u2019s equally about creating a cozy aesthetic, as it is about sculpting a feeling and enjoying the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are a few ways in which Swedes celebrate <\/span>mys<\/span><\/i> this time of year and some vocabulary to go with it. But first, let\u2019s break down the grammar of <\/span>mys<\/span><\/i> in Swedish!<\/span><\/p>\n
