Prepositions are those pesky little words that often trip us up when we translate word-for-word from our native tongue into our foreign language. I wrote this <\/span>i eller p\u00e5<\/span><\/i><\/a> post a couple weeks ago and the reader comments reminded me of some other challenging prepositions. This post will cover prepositions specifically related to <\/span>k\u00e4nslor<\/span><\/i>, or feelings. \u201cAre you mad at me?\u201d \u201cI am so proud of you!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Okay, let\u2019s get moody!<\/strong> We use <\/span>p\u00e5<\/span><\/i> to describe being \u201cin a good\/bad mood.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Lektionen var j\u00e4ttekul idag. Alla var p\u00e5 gott hum\u00f6r! <\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span>Class was really fun today. Everyone was in a good mood. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Var f\u00f6rsiktig, hon \u00e4r p\u00e5 d\u00e5ligt hum\u00f6r idag! <\/span><\/i>

…<\/span>hum\u00f6r<\/span><\/i> is an <\/span>ett-ord,<\/span><\/i> so use the -t form when assigning an adjective like “good” or “bad” to a mood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, let\u2019s talk about our k\u00e4nslor<\/i><\/strong>\/feelings!<\/strong> You\u2019ll notice that there are big differences in literal translation from Swedish to English. The best way to master these tricky phrases? Memorize \u2018em.<\/span>
