For better or for worse, I thought that we take advantage of this time to review some nouns associated with the home. We\u2019ll cover some basics, as well as touch on a few <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">l\u00e5neord, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">borrowed words<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">from other languages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For my students who love to drill themselves on vocabulary, I direct them to<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/bildetema.westeurope.cloudapp.azure.com\/bildetema\/bildetema-html5\/bildetema.html?version=norwegian&amp;languages=nob,nno,eng,swe&amp;language=swe&amp;prev_language=swe&amp;page=overview&amp;subpage=1&amp;prev_page=27&amp;title=Bildetema%20html5-versjon&amp;language_selector=simple\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bildetema\u2019s<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> vocabulary module. It\u2019s a little old school, but they have loads of categories and their interactive platform means you can click on an illustration, see the vocabulary word, and hear it pronounced. These word groups pay homage (see what I did there?) to a time in history where Sweden was particularly influenced by another culture. For example, in the 1700\u2019s the Swedish upper-class thought that French culture and their way of living was all the <i>mode, <\/i>or fashion.
