If you are a relatively new <\/span>hund\u00e4gare<\/span><\/i> (dog owner), chances are you have been practicing commands while creating routines and boundaries for your newest family member. With that in mind, how about a vocabulary-heavy blog post to help you speak Swedish with your dog? <\/span>Bra! H\u00e4ng med!

\u00c4gare<\/span><\/i> is the general word for \u201cowner\u201d in Swedish. Put it together with <\/span>hund,<\/span><\/i> the Swedish word for dog (you knew that one right?), and you\u2019re a <\/span>hund\u00e4gare<\/span><\/i>! Remember that Swedish singular nouns ending in <\/span>-are<\/span><\/i> keep the same form in plural. <\/span>

For example, Swedish group 1 verbs lose their -r<\/em>. The Swedish verb <\/span>pratar<\/span><\/i> becomes <\/span>Prata!<\/span><\/i> (Speak!)
