As such, Thai\u2019s are always perplexed why farang like to date dark skin girls, and it\u2019s a question I\u2019m often asked (probably because I\u2019m a male farang). Regardless of what the real reasons are, or what my opinion is, I thought it would be interesting to see what the Thai theories are.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">I spent some time probing the forums and found it to be a common question asked by Thais online. Generally, most Thais didn\u2019t have a clue. Many of them only posted what they were told by farangs, after asking us. Those responses were generally accurate (in my opinion) and consistent among the various forums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Below are selected responses that I thought were representative and\/or interesting, with my following English translation. As not everyone can read Thai this will be mainly side-by-side translation practice for the more advanced readers. Everyone has already decided that I\u2019ll have a farang boyfriend. But right now I have a Japanese boyfriend. And during this time I\u2019ve had Japanese and Vietnamese guys show interest in me. Because of that, I theorize that men \u2013 no matter from what country \u2013 if there are a lot of people with white skin, they usually like girls with tanned skin which they don\u2019t have much of. Look at Thai men \u2013 they only like white-skinned girls, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">[note: Thais don\u2019t consider Asian foreigners as \u2018farang\u2019. The term is only used to describe white people.
