Hopefully you&#8217;re not too tired from <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/3-days-in-bangkok-part-one\/\">temple hopping on day one<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/3-days-in-bangkok-part-two\/\">perusing the weekend market on day two<\/a>, because the last day is a good one. The Emerald Buddha, carved from a single jade stone, is said to have been created in India in 43 BC. As the legend goes, it traveled between India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos, and northern Thailand before finally arriving at Wat Phra Kaew in 1784. It\u2019s an impressive, sprawling complex that\u2019s well worth half a day.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">National Museum<\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_2658\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter post-item__attachment\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/11\/3-DSC_0321.jpg\" aria-label=\"3 DSC 0321\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2658\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2658\"  alt=\"Pretty cool place for a museum, isn't it?\" width=\"640\" height=\"429\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/11\/3-DSC_0321.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/11\/3-DSC_0321.jpg 640w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/11\/3-DSC_0321-350x235.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2658\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pretty cool place for a museum, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The biggest in all of Southeast Asia, the Bangkok National Museum is home to the largest collection of Thai artifacts and art in the country. Learn a bit about Thai culture and history while perusing the various buildings that were formerly part of King Rama I&#8217;s viceroy. Free guided tours are given a few days a week by volunteers, so check the schedule and see if you can join one. If so, you&#8217;ll want to switch up the order of this day and hit the museum first, as tours start at 9:30.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Sanam Luang<\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_2602\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter post-item__attachment\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/09\/11-BKK-Culture9.jpg\" aria-label=\"11 BKK Culture9\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2602\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2602\"  alt=\"Go fly a kite.\" width=\"600\" height=\"429\" \/ src=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/09\/11-BKK-Culture9.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/09\/11-BKK-Culture9.jpg 600w, https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/09\/11-BKK-Culture9-350x250.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2602\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Go fly a kite.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a big day exploring and learning in the temple and museum, so it&#8217;s time to relax a bit. Right across from Wat Phra Kaew, you&#8217;ll find this large field and public square. Get here around sunset to kick back and relax on the grass while you watch locals fly kites in a place that has held many important royal ceremonies throughout the country&#8217;s history.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Pad Thai<\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_2660\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter post-item__attachment\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2015\/11\/5-N.-Thailand-384.jpg\" aria-label=\"5 N. Head to famous Thip Samai for a plate of the famous noodles and a fresh squeezed orange juice. Love it or hate it, this street full of hostels, bars, and street vendors is quite possibly the epicenter of the SE Asian backpacking culture. Grab a cold Chang beer or seven, meet fellow travelers, and dance the night away.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a wild ride in Bangkok, but it&#8217;s time for your Thailand journey\u00a0to roll on. There are tons of possibilities for your next stop &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/a-great-northern-thailand-itinerary\/\">adventures in the north<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/island-hopping-part-one\/\">island hopping<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/thai\/the-ancient-city-of-sukhothai\/\">exploring the ruins of ancient kingdoms<\/a>.
