The English equivalents would be \u2018is\u2019, \u2018am\u2019, \u2018was\u2019, \u2018are\u2019, \u2018be\u2019, \u2018been\u2019, \u2018become\u2019. Below I have written plenty of usage examples in various useful situations. If you can\u2019t yet read Thai, or if you aren\u2019t sure of the pronunciation, just copy\/paste the words into your favorite website translator. I only used basic intro-level vocabulary &#8211; no need to panic!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u0e1c\u0e21\u0e40\u0e1b\u0e47\u0e19\u0e04\u0e19\u0e44\u0e17\u0e22<\/p>\n<p>I am Thai.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u0e1c\u0e21\u0e40\u0e1b\u0e47\u0e19\u0e04\u0e19\u0e40\u0e21\u0e01\u0e32<\/p>\n<p>I am American. (\u0e40\u0e21\u0e01\u0e32 is slang for American\/America)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u0e40\u0e02\u0e32\u0e40\u0e1b\u0e47\u0e19\u0e17\u0e2b\u0e32\u0e23<\/p>\n<p>He is a soldier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u0e40\u0e02\u0e32\u0e40\u0e1b\u0e47\u0e19\u0e40\u0e01\u0e22\u0e4c<\/p>\n<p>He is gay.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u0e1c\u0e21\u0e40\u0e1b\u0e47\u0e19\u0e44\u0e02\u0e49<\/p>\n<p>I have a fever. (I am sick; the word \u0e44\u0e02\u0e49 has a falling tone)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u0e1c\u0e21\u0e40\u0e1b\u0e47\u0e19\u0e44\u0e02\u0e48<\/p>\n<p>I am an egg. (be careful how you pronounce \u2018fever\u2019 or you\u2019ll be an egg, of which has a low tone)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u0e21\u0e31\u0e19\u0e40\u0e1b\u0e47\u0e19\u0e2d\u0e30\u0e44\u0e23?<\/p>\n<p>What is wrong with it?
