Many of our Hindi community members who are learning Hindi have requested for a list of high frequency words in Hindi. I have compiled a list that may represent some of 100 high frequency words in Hindi.

Hindi words are arranged with their romanized spellings in bracket and English translations or equivalents. Hope you will enjoy the post.

  1.     की (Ki) = of

  2.     और (Aur) = and

  3.     एक (Ek) = a, one

  4.     तक (Tak) = till, up to

  5.     में (Mein) = in

  6.     है (Hain) = is

  7.     आप (Aap) = you (formal)

  8.     कि (Ki) = that

  9.     यह (Yah) = it

  10.     वह (Vah) = he

  11.     था (Tha) = was

  12.     लिए (Liye) = for

  13.     पर (Par) = on

  14.     केवल (Keval) = only

  15.     सदा (Sadaa) = always

  16.     साथ (Sath) = with

  17.     उसके (uske) = his

  18.     वे (Veh) = they

  19.     मैं (Main) = I

  20.     बाद (Baad) = after

  21.     होना (Hona) = be

  22.     खाना (Khana) = to eat, food

  23.     माँ (Maa) = mother

  24.     से (Se) = from

  25.     या (Ya) = or

  26.     नाम (Naam) = name

  27.     घर (Ghar) = home

  28.     द्वारा (Dwara) = through

  29.     शब्द (Sabdh) = word

  30.     लेकिन (Lekin) = but

  31.     नहीं (Nahi) = no

  32.     क्या (Kya) = what

  33.     सब (Sab) = all

  34.     थे (The) = were

  35.     हम (Ham, written as Hum) = we

  36.     जब (Jab) = when

  37.     आपके (Aapke) = yours

  38.     भाषा (Bhasha) = language

  39.     कहा (Kaha) = said

  40.     वहाँ (Vahan) = there

  41.     उपयोग (Upyog) = use

  42.     देश (Desh) = country, land

  43.     प्रत्येक (Pratek) = every

  44.     जो (Jo) = who

  45.     हमारा (Hamara) = our

  46.     करना (Karna) = to do

  47.     कैसे (Kaise) = how

  48.     उनके (Unke) = their

  49.     अगर (Agar) = if

  50.     होगा (Hoga) = will be

  51.     ऊपर (Uppar) = on, above

  52.     अन्य (Anya) = other

  53.     के (Ke) = of

  54.     उधर (Udhar) = there

  55.     बहुत (Bahut) = very

  65.     बोला (Bola) = spoken
